#####So the activist “evangelical” right wing should beat them to the punch? No thank you.#####

How is it activism to amend the constitution to define marriage as what it has always meant throughout the history of the country, and indeed Western Civilization?

What you’re telling us is that you’d be willing to allow leftist judges to force same-sex “marriage” on every state in the union, against the states’ will, rather than pass a legitimate constitutional amendment which would merely reiterate the existing position of every state.

You’ve unilaterally disarmed yourself in the face of liberal judicial activism.

"Naturally Dobson wants access to the White House."

You know this right? That's what Dobson wants, access to the White House...Yes that's what he wants. I guess if you know he must have told everyone. Maybe he will get a set of keys and a spot for his car...

James Dobson sure isn’t keen on Fred, so this is no surprise.

Sorry if I seem stupid

Just who is this Dobson guy everyone is talking about?

I know Alaska is out there, but I have just now heard of this guy - is he like the pope or something for a particular group?

(Apology in advance, I really have never heard of the man - how can he matter?)

Fading, Fading, Fading, Fading Image and video hosting by TinyPic “New Hampshire is considered relatively friendly ground for Romney, the former governor of neighboring Massachusetts. He is the only Republican to have run TV advertisements there, and he needs a strong showing in the early primary state if he hopes to create a sense of inevitability about his candidacy.” “the news isn’t good for Mitt Romney: He polls at 23 percent, down from 33 percent in July.”

Jonathan Martin seems to be quite the drama queen. Thompson is doing just fine with social conservatives. The question is who is Mr. Martin pimping for?

“Evangelicals turn on Thompson”

Maybe some of the names have, but us foot soldiers look around and see a pro-abortionist in Trudy and a (lets face it) Mormon in Mitt and we settle on down and support Fred.

It's the reference to the so-called "Arlington Group" which is supposedly composed of the most notable leaders of "Evangelical or Conservative Religious Organizations" ~ like it's the Vatican or something.

That's garbage.

The "Arlington Group" certainly has no influence on me, and it'd better not try to either.

Good. Let’s not screw it up. Give me separation of powers, and an acknowlegement of my God-given right to worship, speech, bear arms, and freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures. I can work the rest out without a nanny state, whether under a Dobson or a Clinton.

“That he doesn’t wear his faith on his sleeve or use it as a political tool is actually refreshing.”

No, animosity toward your comment at all, but I was thinking, What would really be refreshing would be to see a candidate (or a president) who lives out their faith (the principles of their faith) in daily practice, day-after-day, week-after-week, year-after-year.

If a President claims to be a Christian, and doesn’t want to “wear it on his sleeve,” (which I take to be used as a negative comment), then what criticism would a man draw if he really just lived as a Christian? I wonder.

What if a U.S. president said, “There will be no official business conducted on Sunday, and my family and I will be attending Sunday School, Sunday morning worship, and the Sunday evening evangelistic service -— EVERY Sunday. In fact, I will be teaching a Sunday School class every Sunday morning at my church. Unless there is a genuine emergency, do not disrupt me. If Putin or the queen or Sarkovy fly in on Sunday, tell them to get a room, and I’ll see them on Monday.”

And what if a U.S. president were to conduct a weekly Bible study in the White House for any of the staff and any of the Congress who wanted to attend . . . no pressure to attend, it is not a job requirement at all.

What if a U.S. president were to say, “If you have your political parties — I mean the swing and dance and rock and booze kind —, I don’t care to attend . . . don’t expect me to attend . . . don’t even invite me — I WON’T SHOW UP.”

What if a U.S. president were to tell his advisers and legislation people, “Don’t ever put on my desk a piece of legislation which attempts to legitimize anything that was obviously viewed by the American people as being immoral or perverse prior to the Second World War.”

What if a U.S. president were to give his testimony as to how he became a Christian and how he knows Jesus Christ, to all visiting foreign heads of state?

I mean, just live as a Christian.

It’s impossible to win the Presidency with the positions advocated by the religious right.

Reagan won, and despite what this article claims, Fred is just fine with the religious right.

We then proceeded to write Dobson "out of" the Evangelical movement.

When you get a Protestant leader of any kind who starts to act like and sound like the Pope, or a French King ("Paris is worth a mass") it is absolutely necessary to exclude such a person from our councils.

On this issue, if you don’t get Dobson, you **WILL** get Clinton. Eventually the 14th Amendment will be used to force same-sex “marriage” on all the states unless the FMA is passed.

Dobson runs a huge Christian family organization.

He is an author and has his own radio show. He is not a preacher however.
Here is a link to his outfit.

I had great respect once for Newt but he isn’t relevant now and is actually a detriment to the cause.

Karl Rove has on more than one occasion picked up the phone and called Dobson.

I call that access.
