I remember watching those hearings and wishing someone would punch Howard Metzenbaum, Howell Heflin, and the other jerks in the mouth. Thomas is one of the few conservatives who really fought back with every ounce of integrity within him, and he won! If only the present administration would fight back against the sleazy likes of Schumer, Reid, Pelosi, Leahy, et al, the party wouldn’t be in such doldrums.
