A suspended University of South Florida student facing explosives charges regarded American troops and U.S. allies as invaders of Arab countries, an FBI agent says in federal court documents filed this week.
The agent's affidavit gives more details about a secretly taped conversation between Ahmed Mohamed, 26, and fellow student Youssef Megahed, 21, and also about the contents of Mohamed's laptop.

They were just going to light off some harmless firecrackers, don’t ya know...!
But these are just college boys and we all know that “boys will be boys!” Stupid punks should be put away for quite a while.
It really p.o.’s the hard line muzzies that the US has such success against their ilk in Iraq and Afghanistan. And a lot of those AQ sympathizers are walking around on US soil. Those boys need to get 6 months building the southern wall - fence and then get their butts biometrically registered and promptly deported.

Agree with your sentiment but these guys aren’t punks. Someone loitering on the corner is a punk. These guys were planning to use explosives in an effort to kill people defending America. That makes them terrorists and they weren’t home grown. They were allowed in to go to the same school as Sami Al Arian was a professor at. They even lived in the same house as he did. These two have a direct connection to middle eastern terrorist groups.
Scarery to know they were in the same city as me. It’s worse knowing there are more like them here in Tampa and elsewhere in the US.
But, but...they are smiling, happy college kids, in their mug, er, photos. They were just going to the beach...what gives?/sarc.

These two weren’t even real students. They were taking 1 class.

I'll give it to those SC police, they were wise enough to tape their conversation. Those two probably never had any idea that their Arabic conversation would be later translated and used against them. Smart move, kudos to the cops.
Have we heard from CAIR lately about how these two were “unfairly profiled”?
I’d love to see a transcript of that conversation! ;-)
Wonder if there is a way to get transcripts of that conversation? Be real nice to hear what they thought no one would understand. Kinda like when a group of latinos are talking thier jibberish thinking no one knows what they are say’n.
