An alligator was found swimming in a Central Florida YMCA on Friday morning.
The gator, which was about 4 feet long, was discovered by a swimmer in the pool, which is located on the campus of Brevard Community College on Clearlake Road in Cocoa.
It is not known how the alligator got into the facility.
A YMCA worker joked that the alligator was targeting her because she was wearing an Auburn Tigers sweatshirt.
The Florida Gators play Auburn on Saturday.
Officials who removed the alligator said it will be released into the wild.
“It’s fun to stay at the YMCA!”

That’s what happens when you don’t put enough chlorine in the water.
Stuff grows overnight.
They do get around, LOL. The little ones can climb a chainlink fence.
There are always Gators in FL pools....no pun intended UF alums
My dad had one of them critters in his pool last year. In a way, not too bad....it discourages people from using your pool without permission
They find their way back.
Last week while walking out back at work, a 5-footer was sunning himself on the bank of the canal. I wish I had a camera on me.
She probably mistook it for a log.
Avon calling.
Long ago when I was in high school and lived on a farm, we “walked” a neighbor’s cow up one flight of stairs in the high school and left her as a prank. Not an easy task but at least cows won’t take your arm or leg off. No one able to prove who it was so each member of the senior class had to spend 10 minutes cleaning up cow pies and scrubbing the floor. No one ever attempted such a feat after that.
Reminds me of the “Land Shark” skits on SNL.
That looks just like my parents’ front door!
I might have preferred a .45.
Better call and tell them not to answer it.
;-)
A 4-footer is just a youngin’
