A Pennsylvania drug bust netted three suspects, over $5,000 in cash, crack-cocaine, heroin, a substance believed to be fentanyl — and a four-legged critter. “Drug dealers will do just about anything to project an image of danger in order to protect their drugs and cash,” said Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan. “Some drug dealers use pit bulls or snakes. These drug traffickers kept an alligator in the house. But at the end of the day, the police seized their drugs and money, and the alligator is headed to the zoo.”

They said we must learn to coexist with them like many others in the southern states.

A famous "giant" alligator nicknamed "Chubbs" got ready for another round of golf over the weekend. The nearly 15-foot gator went viral in 2016 after casually strolling across the grass at Buffalo Creek Golf Course in Palmetto, Florida, as shocked golfers stared. Afterward, Sarasota resident Charles Helms shared a short clip of the "monstrous" creature on social media — and the "dinosaur" instantly became a social media celebrity. “This alligator was so large he would only move slowly about 100 feet at a time before having to lie down and rest so he probably wasn’t in as much danger as it may have appeared. An alligator...

Hughes’ post said the male gator weighed in at 580 pounds. The woman's kill recently went down at her ranch in Goodrich, the Houston Chronicle reported. "We think this is the gator that ate one of our miniature horses several years ago, as big as this gator was, he could’ve easily eaten it,” Cochran told the newspaper. “Typically the gators don’t bother us, but we’ve been looking for (this one).” Cochran said the creature...

Since 1948, there have been more than 275 unprovoked alligator attacks on humans in Florida, of which at least 17 resulted in death. There were only nine fatal attacks in the U.S. throughout the 1970s, ’80s, and ’90s, but alligators killed 12 people between 2001 and 2007. In May 2006, alligators killed three Floridians in less than a week. Those statistics were the furthest from my mind as I sat cross-legged with my elbows resting on my knees in the bow of a slowly moving jon boat. Trying to paint the gator’s eye with the EOTech MRDS as he floated...
