Reminds me of the comedian, I can't remember who - Bill Cosby or Bob Newhart - or someone like that. He said whenever he visits his grown children at their house, he walks around the house and turns on every light. LOL

This is California were talking about, while mid to low 60’s is considered chilly for us we can over come this cold wave by lighting the fireplace. We also have a nuclear power plant down in San Onofre and as you all know this causes us to glow in the dark.
I support of this might I also suggest that the LA city council also hold their breath for the same hour,

Of course, to be real effective they should shut down all industry during a weekday....but that would cost governments money.

He says that everyone just got used to the fact that the power was off for a couple of hours every day in many places in India because the grid was so overstressed.
I’ve heard that it isn’t good to sit in front of a computer , in the dark.
They ought to try this in Oakland! Just the small arms rounds going off would create a loom over the city you could see for miles...
