Fake war hero Tom Harkin smears Rush Limbaugh
By Michelle Malkin • October 1, 2007 04:46 PM
Is there any doubt that Tom Harkin is a MoveOn.org Democrat?
None. None at all.
Harkin on the Senate floor:
Well, I dont know. Maybe he was just high on his drugs again. I dont know whether he was or not. If so, he ought to let us know. But that shouldnt be an excuse.
Why is Harkin counter-attacking so viciously?
Maybe this has something to do with it:
Isntapundit flashback: TOM HARKIN, FAKE WAR HERO.

I’m an on and off Rush fan; I think for the most part he’s extremely insightful. He’s a tad arrogant, but he merits it. I simply do not understand what the Dems think they will gain by attacking him. He’s more articulate and wildly more popular than any of them and has a much wider audience. This is like Iran labeling the CIA a terrorist organization.

The whole thing is a he said she said lot of nothing.
I swear that Iran could test a nuclear bomb tommorow and the news would read

Just mentioned this in another thread.
We now know why Harkin is whining, he is one of the phony soldiers! Now we know why he’s personalized this to such a degree.
He emphasizes with the “Jesse’s” of the world because he was one.
So, Senator, did you happen to run into Kerry in cambodia?

Rush, and Hannity and Levin need to know and expose what Harkin and Kerry did in 1983-84 to support the Marxist Sandinistas in Nicaragua. They tried to buy them time so that the Congress would cut off aid to the freedomfighters, which they did.
Then Comrade Ortega, Harkin/Kerry’s buddy, went to Moscow for a $200 million arms deal. Congress came back and reinstated the aid to the freedomfighters who fought the reds to a standstill and were making serious inroads against them. Ortega was ousted in the free elections that the freedomfighters made possible.
But the bastard is back again and forming new alliances with Iran and Chavez and Cuba. Once a red, always a red, and that includes Harkin (Kerry thinks he was in Nicaragua before he wasn’t in Nicaragua. Too much Vietnamese rice wine, this boy).
Harkin has a long record of supporting communist fronts and causes, from the Hanoi Lobby to the Sandinista Lobby, and every red cause inbetween. It is in the public record, and you can find some in the 1970’s issues of Human Events, The Pink Sheet on the Left/American Sentinel, the Washington Inquirer, etc., many of which I wrote for them.
Also see the very important book, “The Covert Cadre” by S. Stephen Powell, about the red Institute for Policy Studies, which features the Harkin/Kerry Sandinistas support operations. If you can, email these sections to Rush, et. al.

If Harkin ever flashes a ribbon that he has not earned he can go to jail. Wonder if he knows that?

Bingo!
A big part of leftist dogma depends on the mass of people entirely unaware of “how things used to be”; or propagandized (read brainwashed) ala public and higher education. There’s a reason schools are churning out so many brain-dead drones, it’s not by accident. Of course, when good/smart/honest/compassionate people become irate aka “reactionary” (as intended) they are identified for further attention, ridicule, marginalization, etc.

Hot air bozo Harkin: “...One year [I] was in Vietnam. I was flying F-4s and F-8s on combat air patrols and photo-reconnaissance support missions.”
story
It turns out that Mr. Harkin had not seen combat nor had he ever served or been in Vietnam; he was stationed in Japan ferrying aircraft to and from repair depots.-

Don't forget tht Harkin was Rather's butt boy on the "fake but accurate" story. Harkin still hasn't apologized to the President of The United States. (note the last paragraph)
REPORTERS ARE ALSO LOOKING at staff and associates of Sen. Tom Harkin, who enthusiastically held a press conference on Thursday morning using the forged documents as the tent pole for attacks against President Bush. Harkin called Bush a "liar."
"Harkin has been pushing this story for a while," says the CBS producer. "Not this specific story, but the 'Bush is a liar about his record' story. His people seemed particularly interested in making sure they could keep their boss up to date on what was going on."
That Harkin was the individual selected to be the attack dog on this particular issue was an interesting one, give that Harkin himself has a checkered history about telling the truth about his involvement in the Vietnam War.
