An astonishing sequence of pictures of the final minutes of Princess Diana's life have emerged as the long-awaited inquest into her death finally opened today.
The never-before-seen images, posted on an official website by coroner Lord Justice Scott Baker, includes the last known photograph of Diana alive and graphic scenes of the desperate fight to save her life.
More than ten years after her death in a high speed crash in Paris they bring back with startling clarity the fantastic efforts to keep Diana alive.

Yikes, 1.5 hours from event to delivery to hospital in downtown Paris? Thanks for that link, Yorkie. I suspect that the hospital and ambulance services in France are nationalized. Just a guess.
That first pic could have been taken as they were leaving the parking lot. Looks like the reflection of a street sign on the hood. There are always a lot of media outside of those fancy clubs hoping to get celeb picks as they leave.
Collisions such as this and much worse occur all the time, in every town and city, daily.

I was in a very bad accident (broadsided in the drivers door at high speed) You are in shock for that first hour or so, not really feeling much pain. But man oh man when that adrenalin wears off, that's when you want to die. A had broken ribs, puntured lung, broken hip and pelvis, broken collar bone and arm internal injuries,liver and kidneys, spleen. blood flowing from my ears.
I came pretty close to dying, but for that firt hour or so, after waking up just after the crash, I wasn't hurting much, even though I could feel broken bones grinding with every breath. I even had a cigarette before they got me out of my car, figuring it would be a while before I was able to have another... It was quite a long while, 88 days. I started smoking for about 2 weeks after i got out, then quit for good (so far)
That image was not take just prior to the collision, and was taken long before the collision occurred, probably in front of a hotel or club.
Very well, but I expect the driver to show at least the due concern the bodyguard pictured does, not display the challenging, exhilarated demeanor you see here.

Ever since I did that, and then I obtained the PC simulation called "F1 2002" by EA Sports, that cat was a bad passenger. That cat insisted on sitting in the chair next to me whilest I racesth. Not so bad, except he insisted on telling me to "LOOKOUT!" while I dideth so.
Like I telleth you: very bad passenger. He also had the very (very) bad habit of strolling acroos my field of view and then stopping to take a peek into the CRT as I barreling down Monza at some 200+ MPH. What do you call that?

He did have those very long white hairs that Turkish Van's are reknown for. I wish the time was at least 15 years ago; not only would I still have my Turkish-Van mutt, also my black Korat/Burmese/Singapura/Havanna/Somali mutt. As long as I live I will never forget either of those cats.
Cat's are just plain bad passengeres (as far as motor vehicle transport goes). It doesn't have anything to do with socialization; they just plain can't handle their excitement like tbe canine persuasion can.

I took my Turkish-Van (which are extremely cool cats if you can tolerate cat hair BTW) to the beer store (and to the FastFoodWindow (imagine what the cat's perspective was).
I'll tell you this (with certainty): you'd better be on a 1:1:1:1 relationship with your animal (and even then: cat's are unpredictable).
Don't even think about doing that with an "old" cat. You start doing that with no older than a 5 yr old feline (and if that's your intentions should be implemented no later than 3 yoa).
One can train a dog to do anything, but to have a buddy like that in feline form (you have to know your animal). What do you think Schutzhund's all about?
I'll tell you this: most felines will try to hide themselves beneath the brake-pedal.
