Fired Professor Teaches Anyway : Ward Churchill Back At CU
TheDenverChannel ^ | October 3, 2007

University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill was fired by the Board of Regents in July.

But that didn't stop Churchill from still teaching at CU this week.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, a group of student supporters rented out a classroom at CU's Eaton Humanities Building and invited Churchill to teach.

The topic? "ReVisioning American History: Colonization, Genocide and Formation of the U.S. Settler State."

And it appears this isn't a one-time-only event.

Churchill elicited applause and handshakes from the majority of the 30 or so CU students and area residents who came to hear his lecture, which he titled “ReVisioning American History: Colonization, Genocide and Formation of the U.S. Settler State.”

Churchill, who did not allow the Camera to attend the class, said the group would come up with various topics to discuss.

“I’ve been invited by people who are concerned with content of the mind,” Churchill said.

Churchill sparked a national furor in 2005 after his essay on the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks called some victims “little Eichmanns,” a reference to Adolf Eichmann, who helped carry out Hitler’s plan to exterminate Europe’s Jews during World War II.

The controversial former professor was invited to speak in a classroom at CU’s Eaton Humanities Building by a group of student supporters who rented out the space.

Churchill handed out a class syllabus, which includes scheduled classes to be held Oct. 9 about colonialism, Oct. 23 on genocide and Oct. 30 about racism.

Aaron Smith, a 24-year-old senior political science and ethnic studies major... “He was one of the most valuable professors we’ve had on this campus.”

The self-inflicted blind leading the self-inflicted blind.

An endless supply of brain-dead communist robots/morons coming out of American universities.

Two men who identified themselves as event organizers turned away three male CU students at the door, calling them “agitators.”

One of the men watching the door, who did not give his name, became physical with a Camera reporter who tried to enter the room — grabbing his arm and pushing him — prompting a report to police.

These bastards just never go away, do they?
I guess being polite and tolerant of the bastards in our society doesn’t work...

Time to go harsh and start kicking ass, or worse.

Obviously the university knows about this and doesn’t care. Also, a worthless class to the students as they won’t be receiving credit towards their diploma.

Does the campus insurance cover this type of intrusion on campus?

I like the fact that he only drew 30 in the People’s Republic of Boulder. He’s fading...

I wonder if he will be at the Columbus Day march to greet me, and perhaps throw some horse manure at my feet?

Last we knew: University of Colorado regents voted 8-1 to fire controversial professor Ward Churchill on July 26 amid accusations of academic misconduct.

Churchill said after the vote: “I am going nowhere.”

Next: Churchill plans to convene his class on Oct. 9, 23 and 30. A student organizer said Churchill will also return for a “spring semester.”

There, that's corrected.

In other words, there never was any point in paying this man to teach. The compulsion to spread one's message without being paid to do so is strong in this one—and that's a sign of a religious nut leading a cult.

Ward Churchill is doing a good imitation of L. Ron Hubbard. But Hubbard was both smarter and more effective.

“Kids will do the damnedest things just to pi$$ off the adults.”

Problem is, with the exception of the officials that fired Churchill,
most of CU and The People’s Republic of Boulder is a case of case
of arrested development.
