Hillary's phony soldiers

The "phony soldier" story won't go away. It's splattered everywhere – on TV, in newspapers, talk radio, and it's all over the Internet. In my business, they say the controversy has "legs." The attack by anti-war liberals against Rush Limbaugh is being fueled by the media elites who despise Rush and have tried ceaselessly for years to get him thrown off the air.

The same left-wing activists who have denounced the missions of our troops, and who venomously call our military personnel rapists and brutal thugs, now have the audacity to attack a titan of talk radio who has been one of the most unwavering champions of our troops and our fight for victory in Iraq.

It was pretty nervy of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to call for a resolution condemning Limbaugh. This is the same guy who pronounced our troops "losers."

Team Hillary will do whatever it takes to eliminate her political opponents. They engage in political sniper fire, even if that means catching the men and women serving in the war on terror in their crossfire. And if it takes propping up "phony soldiers" to give them a false cover of being supportive of the troops, then that's exactly what they'll do.

Right. Melanie and Rush are anti the troops and Harkin, hillary, Kerry and Durbin support them? I guess it depends which troops we’re talking about here. Real American troops...unless your name is leiberman not a chance the elected Dems support them.

But apparently they do support phony troops and Al-Quida’s troops considering the great effort they’ve expended to defeat this country at war.

Thank you melanie for your willingness to take them on and defend our troops! And thank you for your support of Rush and FreeRepublic too. Wouldn’t hurt if everyone here returned the favor and contacted some of her enemies (they are ours as well too) and defend her as well.

Which, BTW, announced a campaign to reimpose the Fairness Doctrine three years ago. The group that called for similar campaigns against a number of conservatives in talk radio and television, including Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, Neil Boortz, and Glenn Beck. (LINK)

STATEMENT BY MELANIE MORGAN

Rush Limbaugh has come under attack by liberal bloggers and some in the news media for a statement he made on his show about “phony soldiers.” (See the segment on Hannity & Colmes regarding this issue - WATCH IT HERE .)

Now I am under attack for defending Rush.

Despite the cries of protest from the anti-war and anti-military crowd, Limbaugh was spot-on right in his characterization.

Limbaugh mentioned in his show the case of Jessie Adam Macbeth, who falsely claimed to have committed war crimes during service in Iraq. The allegations struck a chord with those who wish to regularly impugn the character and honor of the men and women of the United States military. They jumped on the story like jackals on fallen prey, ripping away at the integrity of our heroic troops who serve in a hot war some 7,000 miles away.

There’s only one problem. Jessie Macbeth was lying. He was not an Army Ranger as he had claimed, and he was not a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Macbeth was discharged from the army before he had even completed basic training, because according to representatives with the U.S. Army, he was either unfit, unsuitable, or both, to serve in the military.

Critics of Rush Limbaugh have now launched a full-scale war against Mr. Limbaugh that reaches all the way to the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, threatening congressional action to condemn Limbaugh.

But it is the anti-war left that needs to be condemned, once again.

The anti-war Left keeps getting caught promoting bogus allegations made by “phony soldiers” because the Left is desperate for any allegations that are made which might discredit Operation Iraqi Freedom. They do this for one simple reason – they so hate this war (and the broader “war on terror” that they shamelessly deride as a “war of error") that they are determined to undermine the war effort and hope that America loses so they can play a pathetic and dangerous game of “I told you so.”

Not content with disparaging the reputation of a 4-star general, as in their “General Betray Us” attack on U.S. General David Petraeus, the anti-military Left has not stopped for one moment to realize that Limbaugh’s accusations are correct. There are a number of examples of “phony soldiers” such as Jessie Macbeth who have lied about their military service or experiences with the deliberate intent to be to harm the military as a whole, and undermine the missions of the men and women serving in the war on terror.
Credit goes to Michelle Malkin for chronicling a litany of these “phony soldiers” of whom I will highlight just a few.

Amorita Randall

As RegretTheError.com reports, Randall is the, “former naval construction worker who told the New York Times magazine that she served in Iraq, was in a Humvee that blew up, and was raped twice while serving in the Navy.

Not.

It turns out that Amorita Randall was not in a Humvee that blew up in Iraq, and she was not raped twice while serving in the Navy…

The truth is she never even served in Iraq.

At all.

Ever.

Jimmy Massey

Former Marine Staff Sgt. Jimmy Massey is an Iraq war veteran who claimed that he and his unit committed war atrocities including the murder of innocent Iraqis, shooting a 4-year old Iraqi girl in the head and tractor trailers of dead Iraqi’s hauled around by the U.S. military.

Massey published a book in France titled “Kill, Kill, Kill” to profit from his allegations against his fellow brothers and sisters in the military.

However, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Associated Press both did investigative reporting and found out the alleged incidents never took place.

As the Post-Dispatch reported:

“Each of his claims is either demonstrably false or exaggerated - according to his fellow Marines, Massey’s own admissions, and the five journalists who were embedded with Massey’s unit, including a reporter and photographer from the Post-Dispatch and reporters from The Associated Press and The Wall Street Journal.”

Scott Thomas Beauchamp

The most recent, and better-known, example is that of Army Private Scott Thomas Beauchamp, who made a series of allegations of atrocities committed by U.S. troops. Beauchamp used these allegations to support his anti-war views he made in essays he penned for The New Republic magazine.

When news media outlets attempted to verify Beauchamp’s allegations, Beauchamp recanted, signing a sworn statement admitting that his allegations were either exaggerations or falsehoods.

As one of Beauchamp’s fiancées explained to Richard Miniter of Pajamas Media about Beauchamp: “He hates the army. The only reason he joined was because he wanted to have more experience to write about.”

No wonder that Rush Limbaugh went on to say that, “They joined to be in Iraq.”

This incident (attacking Rush Limbaugh on the trumped up charges that he doesn’t support the troops) is a joke. It only shows how much the main stream media is a puppet of the demoncraps. It will slowly backfire and make the demoncraps and their puppets look like effin fools.

This is more important than just Rush Limbaugh.

You bet it is. We're getting to a place where "truth" is becoming irrelevant and that is exactly where evil will seethe. If good men and women don't stand for truth, there's no point in being an America any more.

If there is one thing, I as an American will not tolerate is covering up or hiding the truth, especially when it does not fit a particular agenda.

The biggest lie ever told is the notion truth is subjective.

What message did Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid send to patriotic Americans and our brave men and women in uniform when he proclaimed...  "this war is lost?"   

Translated into plain language, Reid figuratively spit in the face of our American soldiers, sailors and marines and told them: "You're risking your lives for nothing..." 

Harry Reid's reckless undermining of our American troops took place just weeks after Nancy Pelosi convened her unauthorized meeting -- possibly in violation of the Logan Act --with Syria's President, a know supporter of terrorism!

What is going on here?

Harry Reid has sent the identical message Tokyo Rose broadcast to our troops in the Far East during World War II.  After the war, Tokyo Rose was tried and convicted of treason.

But, then again, Tokyo Rose wasn't the Majority Leader of the Senate

In response to Senator Reid's reckless comments, Investors Business Daily called for his resignation:

"In aiding and comforting the enemy in wartime, Reid has betrayed the office he holds, shamed the Nevadans he represents and made the Democratic Party he leads synonymous with surrender. There is one way he can repair the damage he's done to the nation: step down."

We could not have put it better -- except for one problem:

Reid will never step down voluntarily.

He's too bloated with power, too corrupted by partisan greed, too willing to put politics above the interests of our brave men and women in uniform.

He must be pressured to step down.  And if he refuses, our conservative leaders in Congress must force the issue -- possibly by constitutional means!

If Harry Reid fails to resign, HE SHOULD BE EXPELLED OR IMPEACHED!

Technically you are correct, but if the war is "lost" what does that mean the troops are?
