My wife was listening to the news, here in panama, yesterday and it was reported that the Nicarauguan authorities detained several former soldiers. They contacted the Costa Rican authorities and asked them if they knew about it. They told the Costa Ricans thet these guys were reitired soldiers coming to Costa Rica to train people. Costa Rica said they did not know anything about it. Then them they found out these guys were actually Irainians on their way to Panama for terrorists activities. The only thing I can think of here that they could want to attack is either the Panama Canal or the new US Embassy.

Panama is blowing the whole thing off just like they did with the five or six Syrians they detained last week for trying to gain access to the cokpit of a commercial airliner.

I waited all night for further news about this but nothing so far. Waiting for todays papers to see if there is anything there. By the way there is a large Muslim population here where these guys could recieve assistance once in country.

Have heard no more about the incident I related to you. Just Panama saying there was probably nothing to it. Same they did for the Syrians they detained after these guys tried to get into the cabin with the pilots. The Syrians said they did not know that they couldn´t go in there. The Panamanians bought it.
