Do We Want Another 9/11?

In their efforts to demonize the American intelligence community, Democrats and the media are playing with our safety.

The latest example is the way these critics are minimizing and distorting warnings from Mike McConnell, director of National Intelligence, about how defenseless America would become if warrants were required to intercept terrorists’ calls and e-mails even when those communications are in foreign countries.

The issue should not be controversial. Going back to the founding of the National Security Agency in 1952, the government could intercept calls and e-mails of targets situated in foreign countries without a warrant. But because most such communications now pass through U.S. switching systems in fiber optic cables, a Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Act (FISA) court judge ruled on May 31 that intercepting such communications requires a court order.

Obtaining a FISA court order requires an average of 200 man hours of preparation. Often, people who speak Arabic, Farsi, or Urdu have to be pulled off tracking leads to possible plots to help prepare the applications. Moreover, by the time an order is obtained for a new targeted phone number, the call is finished.

"Democrats are deadly fools."

That they are, and deadly enemies as well.

They will gleefully destroy this country, as long as they think they can rule over what remains.

Yeah. What's the phrase? Better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven...

On a National Geographic TV program on 9/11 an FBI agent said the U.S. needs more 9/11’s to wake up.

Only a fool would want another attack to come as another 911. That being said, there are a lot of fools on the Hill who want to make the sun go down. ried, pelosi, kennedy, barney, durbin, and all the rest of the democrats on that Hill, with some rinos acting as fools, as well.

Sadly, it will take another 9/11 and thousands of deaths before Americans will wake up.

Sadly, it may take another 9/11 to wake the average American up to the dangerous world we live in, and, more importantly, make him realize the US is the good guy, no matter what the RATS and the MSM say.

If we end up with 8 more years of RATs running the country, there will be such a silent buildup of terrorist cells that will unbelievable in size. Plus, coordinated attacks on the major cities and defense installations when a new regime takes place will be overwhelming.

Amazing! Considering your name and not a word about the open borders. Bush is the one who is playing with our security.

I disagree, that President Bush is to blame for all of America’s national security woes. I blame the democrats in congress and the rinos, and I realize President Bush has sided with the democrats and rinos on important matters regarding this nation’s security. Your mention of the border falls into the category (imho) of a failure by President Bush, but none ever receives all one is looking for from a Leader. When it comes to democrats though, one can have no doubt, the democrats with some rinos want to lose this war. And while the borders should be secure, I have to look at the nation’s security (as a whole) and state President Bush has done the best He can without controlling our borders, but the democrats.....they continue to show Americans everyday....their desire to lose and gain power at the cost of American’s lives.

It would suit their long-term goals better to regain power with the nation already crippled.
