Gossip is also flying that Scott was set up (think Duke lacrosse team).
Scott has been sidelined for the Iowa game for team violations which have not yet been disclosed.
Developing...
OK, so here’s how this should be handled. (Learn from the way they do things at Duke.)
First, you put out a Wanted poster with all the team on it, and plaster that all over campus.
Next, you put pictures of the accused on the front page of the paper. (A Newsweek cover would be dandy, too.)
Then, you cancel the team’s season and fire the coach.
A year and a half from now, you can drop all the charges if the guy turns out to be innocent.
What’s wrong with Penn, don’t they know how this sort of thing is handled?

Austin Scott not playing, he’s with family
Penn State tailback Austin Scott, a Parkland High School graduate, is not playing in today’s game against Iowa because he is facing team disciplinary action, sources said.
Scott is not with his Nittany Lion teammates today and his locker has been cleared out, two Penn State University sources said.
The sources, who did not wish to be identified, said Scott is at home with his family.
Penn State University has not issued an official news release about Scott’s situation.

You know it sounds like this guy has a bad rep to begin with. Have you ever considered the possibility that he might have done something wrong?
Don’t screw with Joe Pa.
You sure are quick to defend him and sling mud at others when he hasn’t even been charged with anything yet.
Supposedly his locker’s been cleaned out. Not a good sign.
