Mark Steyn: Princess Diana's murder and Islamoparanoia
Orange County Register ^ | By MARK STEYN

Posted on 10/06/2007 7:53:40 PM PDT by Forgiven_Sinner

Last week, a London court began pondering the vexed question of whether Diana, Princess of Wales, was, ahem, murdered. There was so much public suspicion, declared the coroner, Lord Justice Scott Baker, that it was time for the rumors to be either "dispelled or substantiated."

So who killed her? On the night of Diana's death in 1997, there were apparently two top agents for MI6, the British secret service, on the loose in Paris, and possibly a third, if you believe that Henri Paul, the chauffeur, was also on the spooks' payroll.

That's the theory of Mohammed Fayed, Monsieur Paul's employer and father of the princess's last boyfriend, Dodi. Fayed asserts that Diana was at the time of her death carrying Dodi's baby, and thus the car crash was arranged because Buckingham Palace decided it would be unacceptable for Prince William, the future king, to have a Muslim stepbrother, a Muslim step-dad, and a soon-to-be-Muslim mom.

This is a pretty British oriented editorial for the OCR. I wonder if they picked it up to tap into the Di death anniversary?

And yet he's convinced himself that Buckingham Palace is so consumed by "Islamophobia" that the queen's husband dialed M, and M called in Moneypenny, and Moneypenny faxed 007, and a week later the princess and her Islamostud are dead.

ROTFL....

No, they always carry Steyn so it wasn’t a matter of picking up the article.

“Reality is more humdrum: In multiculti Britain, everyone was indifferent to Di’s Muslim lover. Could have been a Hindu, could have been a Buddhist. Who cares? But, instead, Fayed has retreated into the paranoia and victim mentality that stunts so much of the Muslim world. A while back, I was in Jordan, and a wealthy Saudi told me that the Iraq war was part of a continuous Western assault on Islam that includes the British Royal Family’s assassination of Dodi Fayed. And so, in a London courtroom, a freak one-off celebrity death becomes just another snapshot of the big geopolitical picture.”

I’m sure there was a “grassy knoll” somewhere near that tunnel.

This is why it is an important story even to us unwashed yanks who don’t give a damn about royalty . Our great ally and social and cultural cousins are being smeared in the basest way by radicals . Outrageous .

She was a pretty lady, and I am sorry she is dead, but, she is damned sure dead, and I have other issues to deal with.

Mohammed Fayed had been trying for many years to become a citizen, from what I remember...but rebuffed again and again? He even sued, to no avail. He was involved in a lot of shady doings and the gov’t was adamant about denying him citizenship. He even bought the most famous dept. store in England, Harrods, in hopes that would pave the way...but was involved in scandal with that also. Bottom line, he knew he wasn’t going to achieve his goal. He knew he would never be granted citizenship.

Then, after many years, his son is planning on marrying the mother of the future king...

Granted, the English people may not have cared - but the powers that be??? hmmmm

“No, they always carry Steyn so it wasn’t a matter of picking up the article.”

I know the OCR always has his column; what I meant was that Steyn writes for multiple audiences: he write columns specifically for Canadian, British, and US audiences. He writes at least three columns a week. Not every column is published in every newspaper or every country. This article reads like one he wrote for Britain, so I wondered if the OCR decided to run it here.

That had to be the most complex murder of all time. Someone convinced D's driver to get drunk and then take the Princess and Dodi on a high speed escape, brainwash both of the arrogant morons to not wear their seatbelts on a reckless, high speed escape with a drunk "professional" driver and then commit suicide by crashing into a concrete column,.

I like conspiracy theories probably more than the average conspiracy kook, but this one doesn't wash.

As my old weapons instructor told us over and over when we messed up, "I am a little green puke, and I am dead, because I am stupid."

It says here:

if you believe that Henri Paul, the chauffeur, was also on the spooks' payroll.

This was always rumoured, but oddly enough was officially confirmed by the Steven's Report. This enquiry turned down all conspiracy theories, but rather grudingly confirmed some of the weirder rumours about the intelligence services:

The report reveals that while Henri Paul, whose bank accounts exceeded the levels his salary could provide, had ties to the French secret service he was not linked to British Intelligence in any way. It also indicates that the American secret service was keeping Diana under surveillance and bugging her calls.

“..it would be unacceptable for Prince William, the future king, to have a Muslim stepbrother, a Muslim step-dad, and a soon-to-be-Muslim mom.”

Why would it be unacceptable? The way things are going, William may have a Muslim father in the future.

“..high speed escape with a drunk “professional” driver and then commit suicide by crashing into a concrete column,..”

It’s less painful if you’re drunk (so they say).
