In interview with Yedioth Ahronoth, Israeli model Bar Refaeli slams Israel, announces move to Los Angeles, says has no regrets regarding dodging army service

It all started a while back, when top model Bar Refaeli said she had no intention of bringing more of her famous friends to Israel, and announced she was entertaining the idea of relocating to Los Angeles.

Well, now it’s final. In an interview for a special holiday magazine in Yedioth Ahronoth, Refaeli declared that she was moving to the city of angels.

In her interview, the Israeli model said she was not against army service, even though she never enlisted, having married an acquaintance to evade the draft. The couple was soon divorced.

“I really wanted to serve in the IDF, but I don’t regret not enlisting, because it paid off big time,” she said. “That’s just the way it is, celebrities have other needs. I hope my case has influenced the army.

“Israel or Uganda, what difference does it make? It makes no difference to me. Why is it good to die for our country? What, isn’t it better to live in New York? Why should 18-year-old kids have to die? It’s dumb that people have to die so that I can live in Israel,” Refaeli added.

"...celebrities have other needs."

She'll be right at home with the trashy, self-centered Hollywood gang.

“Other needs”, “Other priorities”, all one and the same for the elite who dodge service.

Yeah, it would be more difficult to access a supply of nose candy in the IDF.

Lady, if too many people have your attitude then eventually there will be no New York for you to retreat to.

Idiot.

Worthless bimbo. Sounds like Pelose and Reid, and I'll bet Hillary greets her with open arms at the airport.

What, isn’t it better to live in New York?

'Cause you can die in New York at the hands of the very same enemy you could be killing right close to home?

I see two sides to this. Actually, she does belong in Israel, because her vain, short sighted and self important attitude fits right in there.

This doesn’t criticize Israel for its relations with the Paleos, as much as within Israel, their icky behavior towards each other. For all the social good and efforts at social justice outside of Israel, when Jews go to live in Israel, all of that goes right out the window.

In Israel, Jews behave abominably towards each other. Jews are racist to other Jews. Jews are sexist to Jewish women. Jews are terribly prejudiced against Jews in other sects, and the religious Jews and secular Jews are always trying to do each other dirt. And some of their ultra-orthodox sects are so primitive that they behave almost like pagans, doing terribly un-Jewish things.

Inhibitions go right out the window in Israel. Prostitution there is grotesque and repulsive. Crime is Mafia-like and horrific. All by Jews against other Jews.

In many ways, Jews behave far worse to each other than they do to the Palestinians, who are treated with kid gloves by the Jews despite their endlessly murderous ways.

It is a tremendous irony. Jews who are polite, erudite, respectable and upright people in other nations lose their moral compass when they become Israelis. Not all of them, of course, but enough to make outsiders wonder what in the world is wrong with the place?

Does this take away from Israel’s right to be a nation? Certainly not. And since Jews have chosen to live that way, that is their choice, and they should be free to do so. But why would anyone in their right mind choose to live like that? To treat those you are closest to in such terribly ways, when you have lived and thrived as polite and generous people elsewhere?
