...Barron - wearing a neck brace from a recent accident - fell to the ground, holding her cane in one hand and her black Scottish terrier, Velvet, on a leash in the other, but the attack continued. Never bring a Scottish terrier named Velvet to a knife fight with a deranged psychopath.
Okay, that was a little too flip, sorry. But there's a serious point here: Since NY refuses to recognize the absolute, God-given right of every human being on earth to carry a weapon to defend himself, it's time to encourage law-abiding people to resort to more indirect means; namely, when people must go out, they should only go out with multiple, large, protective, attack dogs on a leash. Few people will do it. But darn if I don't think it's justified.

Thank God the off duty cop was there because it appears that everyone else was too worried about their own skins to do anything to help this lady. Because people get prosecuted for that sort of thing, these days. Judges and politicians don't want the public to start getting uppity about defending themselves - best they just take their stabbings like adults and leave the intervention to their betters. ;)

Your correct about Chin getting sued. He undoubtedly will be. And because he is an off duty N.Y.C. police officer the city will be the one with the deep pockets. The sad thing is that city will pay out just to make it go away. The sobriety test was something probably brought up and used against the city in the last law suit. Now the city is trying to cover their ass.

Also baseball bats, tire irons, fireplace implements, chains, canes, and freestanding floor lamps. No sales of 2x4 lumber without training and a license, with registration. And let’s not forget to close that Knife Show loophole. :-)

You beat me to it, but I am going to repost it, as it is unbelieveable that this took place!
"Chin was given a sobriety test - which he passed - under a new and controversial NYPD policy introduced last Sunday."
THAT is Mayor Bloomberg for you! And he thinks he has a chance at the presidency?!?
Yeah, go after the cop, there Mikey; the guy that was saving lives. I can just imagine how you would dealt with 9/11.
And I cannot imagine Rudi EVER going after the police!

He endorsed Bloomberg on the way out the door, they’re both gun grabbers, and always will be. Remember Bernie Kerrick? dropped him like a hot potato.

Yes, he did take guns in NYC. But that is not what I wa talking about; you must give the man credit where it is due. He did a great job cleaning up NYC. And I do like to go there for the occasional visit, and believe that I am safe on their streets.
So, thank you Rudi for giving the NYPD the respect it deserved.

Once again, New Yorkers are allowed to defend themselvesnot even with tasers! The MSM won't stop to think, what if CCP were legal and "Woman shoots man trying to stab her" or even "Dave the insurance agent shoots the psycho" instead of having to rely on an offduty cop. Chef Amarjit Singh deserves credit as well.
