Illegal Immigration - Death to a Nation
ACED Magazine ^ | 10/07/07

Posted on 10/07/2007 4:12:26 PM PDT by yorkie

Perhaps there is no more controversial an issue of the 2008 election cycle than that of illegal immigration. It is a topic plagued with partisan and electoral politics unlike any other on our national agenda. Despite the concerns of the everyday citizen, illegal immigration continues to go unadvised, which is not only a risk to our national security, but a continuous drain on our country’s resources.

Illegal immigration refers to the unlawful crossing across national borders in such a manner that violates the immigration laws of the destination country. In the case of the United States: the U.S./ Mexican/Canadian borders (or boats off Florida's coastline). Illegal immigration is defined by a number of political issues including the economy, social welfare, education, health care, slavery, prostitution, crime, legal protections, voting rights, public services and human rights.

The dilemma is obvious, no individual should be allowed into our country illegally, and under no circumstances should an individual be able to qualify for government entitlement programs if they are not a citizen. However, in the interest of winning elections, political parties often actively promote illegal immigration by pledging illegals with government benefits. At the same time, the Mexican government encourages the illegal crossing of its own people, as it is of huge support to the Mexican economy.

It is this indirect “relationship” [snip] generating conflict. The fact is, the US government has criminalized practically any action that an American citizen can take to protect their families, property, and way of life in their own country from illegals. It has gotten to the point to where many Mexican citizens feel that it is their right to live in and benefit from the United States, and that that right overshadows the right of the American people to enforce its own residency laws.

Wait, I’ve only read the first sentence and I already disagree. Remember back when we were debating “comprehensive immigration reform?” I perused liberal and conservative sites alike and found almost everyone, liberal and conservative, was opposed to amnesty. It actually was one of the least partisan issues around. Nobody wants to reward a lawbreaker.

If we want to make this a national issue and implement successful changes, to say nothing of the loyalties of independent voters, we must emphasize the economics and national security aspects of illegal immigration. Emphasizing the “culture war” makes us look like a bunch of Theodore Bilbo supporters.

The mexican invasion of the United States continues unabated, and it threatens to turn the US into at least a second-world country, but most likely a third-world country, like mexico itself.

Not sure what point this author is trying to make. He lists a litany of problems caused by illegal immigration, then ends with this:

“States such as Arizona and New Mexico have become very tight swing states, and the angering of the immigrant community in any one of those states could mean a lost election. Unfortunately, the one effort of actual immigration reform by President George W. Bush was shot down by the Democratic congress.”

So, it’s unfortunate that Jorge’s efforts at immigration reform failed???

OK, I’m tired of this whole freakin’ argument about illegal immigration.

I’m moving to Mexico. I’m just crossing the border at Laredo with my wife and son in our Subaru wagon and moving down there. To hell with regulations and immigration law. The weather’s nice, my money will go far, and they need teachers at their schools, so I’m just doing the jobs that the Mexicans won’t do themselves. Once I get established, I’ll start raising hell about the lack of English in the schools. I’ll call the federal police racists if they mess with me. I’ll use every single bit of government aid I can get my hands on. If I need a national ID number, I’ll invent one or use the number from old Pedro Gonzales down there in the cemetery. Maybe I’ll even find a little lovely thing who looks a lot like Halle Berry or Salma Hayek and produce a dozen quasi-Mexican kids and make sure that all they speak is English.

Come join me. Land is cheap down there. Let’s flood their entire country with Americans. Once there are 20 million of us there, we can gently remind them of the story of Fremont and the boys if they give us lip about being illegal immigrants.

We can even call ourselves “The American Race” after the group “La Raza.”

See you on the beach eating a mango and sipping tequila!

I do not understand Pres. Bush anymore.
Pres. Bush tries to stop execution of illegal who committed murder:

“The president wants to enforce a decision by the International Court of Justice that found the convictions of Medellin and 50 other Mexican-born prisoners violated their rights to legal help as outlined in the 1963 Vienna Convention.’

Bush’s record on securing the border is the biggest failure of his administration.

Ousting politicians who pander to illegals and businesses who support it is the first step.

I agree. Up to the last two paragraphs, he stated facts about the damage being caused to our country by the invasion of illegal immigrants. Then “bam!” he changes his direction.......(?)

We already have a political party that panders to illegals, perverts, America haters, people and groups living on taxpayer financed handouts and One-Worlders.

If that is what the Republicans want to be we don’t need them.

The main problem you are going to have when discussing the Mexican problem is the people in charge of all the money. They want open borders. It is to their benefit, financially. The Federal Reserve, which isn’t Federal by the way, lends the government money. The more the governemnt borrows from the Federal Reserve, the more interest they charge. It’s all money orientated.........follow the money and you’ll understand why nothing is being done. Heard a statement the other day....or a quote actually “Once I have control of a countries money, what do I care about their laws?” This statement is very true. That’s why you will most likely see, before too long, a big push for the NAU and the currency change to the Amero. This will happen without the American peoples input. Next will come the burning of our Constitution.

Illegal immigration and national security are linked together without any possible separation, IMO. That will be what I vote on for 2008.
Right to Life won’t mean a tinker’s damn when Sharia Law is being imposed upon all of us- child bearers or not.

Duh, when exactly did NM become a swing state? They have a socialist governor and always vote for a dim. When did they become a swing state?

Hey, you’re missing the fact that I’m using satire. For starters, I hate hot weather. LOL Still, it would be a laugh riot for the Mexicans (and other countries flooding ours with illegal immigrants) to deal with millions of Americans moving to their countries illegally, though. Sort of like massive passive resistance.
