Our Gracious Savior,

We Come into Your Presence with Joy, So Thankful for Your Loving Grace. You are Awesome, Majestic King, and Creation Shouts Out Your Praise. Lightning Flashes, Thunder Booms, and our Hearts are Dazzled by Your Might. You are Worthy of the Universe's Throne; No One is Great as our King! We Long to See You, our Abba, our God; Please Set Up your Kingdom of Peace.

We Lift our Brother-President to You, Seeking Great Blessing for Your Child. May Your Presence Enfold him, Daily Help him, and Keep him Evermore Safe. We are So Thankful, Loving Lord, that He Trusts You as His King. May his Remaining Time in Office be Filled with Excellent Deeds. Please Answer All his Prayers, and Thwart those who Seek his Harm. Help his Walk to Honor Thee, our Compassionate, Glorious God.

We are So Grateful for those who Keep us All Free. For Every Victory they have Won, we Praise Your Holy Name. You are our Champion, O You Who Cover us with Grace. May our Military be Blessed and Guarded by our Lord of Love. Help them to Know, our Abba, that they are in our Fervent Prayers.

Our Master, our Hearts are with your Persecuted Lambs. How we Pray for their Well-Being, Lord-King! Please Surround them with Mercies, and Help them to Trust in Your Grace.

Be Pleased to be Glorified in our Lives, Dearest Lord. Help us to Stand Upon Your Word and Your Name. Thank You for Hearing and Answering our Prayers. To our Jesus' Praise, for the Glory of the King, amen.

Be Coachable!

Casey Seymour, a successful soccer player and coach, notes that everyone on his team hates the 10-by-100 drill that ends practice. Before the men can leave the field, they must run 100 yards 10 times at full speed with minimal rest. If they don’t beat a prescribed time, they have to do it again.

The players hate it—until the day of the game. Then they find that they can play at full capacity for the entire match. Their effort has been rewarded with a championship!

The apostle Paul used metaphors of training and competition in his letters. While he was a missionary to the Gentiles, he submitted to the instructions and drills of God amid great suffering and hardship. Twice in Philippians 4, he said, "I have learned" (vv.11-12). For him, and for each of us, following Jesus is a lifelong learning process. We are not spiritually mature the day we are saved, any more than a schoolboy athlete is ready for professional soccer. We grow in faith as we allow God through His Word and the Holy Spirit to empower us to serve Him.

Through hardship, Paul learned to serve God well—and so can we. It’s not pleasant, but it is rewarding! The more teachable we are, the more mature we will become. As members of Christ’s team, let’s be coachable.

Oh, it’s hard to learn the lesson,
As we pass beneath the rod,
That the sunshine and the shadow

God’s work in us isn’t over when we receive Christ—it has just begun.

Dear Lord Jesus,
We praise you and worship you with all that we have. Lord Jesus we pray that you would give our servant leader the Heart of Samson, the Wisdom of Solomon and the Heart of David.

I would like to take a moment to remember our forgotten Americans. Those that served us well over many years. Those well passed their prime. Those in retirement homes, or living alone, or other such hideaways.

They helped us through The Depression, World War II, and some even World War I. Today, many live only on dreams, or the hope that God will take them soon.

They should not just be a memory, but a vital part of a loving nation. We need their courage, their stories, their knowledge, and their dreams to help us reengage this country to past treasures and virtues.

We must not forget. Love them. Nurture them when you can.

Thank you for such a loving prayer to our Savior. With Praise and worship to our King, We say in His Precious Name Amen! Dear Lord, Please, be with our Military Chaplains, protect them and give the strength from You they need, In Jesus Name, Amen.
