WASHINGTON — Michael Anderson can recount his son's last moments on earth down to the second.
He knows that the night before his son, Marine Cpl. Michael Anderson Jr. , died in the battle for Fallujah he slept in a 17-degree room on a piece of cardboard and that he shared his blanket and iPod with a friend. He knows that on Dec. 14, 2004 , his son and comrades shimmied down a rooftop to ambush a group of insurgents, opened the roof's hatch, threw in a grenade and listened for screams before heading inside.
And he knows that the bullet that hit his son pierced his fourth and fifth ribs and killed him instantly.
The Modesto, Calif. , resident said he also knew that the Iraq war was working and that it must work or the deaths of his son and the more than 3,800 other members of the U.S. military would have been in vain.
"The surge is working," he said. "I sat through some briefings and investigated for myself. I've talked to the boots on the ground. My opinion is that the leaders who are trying to run this war from the comfort of their well-decorated and comfortable offices are wrong.

Bush has worked hard for this to come to be, and the Democrat presidential candidates are already acknowledging that they will not pull out of Iraq. The USofA will have victory in Iraq.
They helped slaughter our soldiers. Their payment will come due.
Who gets to define “victory”?
George Bush and the Republicans have allowed the Left to propagandize the terrorist trouncing that is occuring in the middle east, and to Islamofascism in general across the globe.
By any historical measure the war in Iraq, and the the WOT as a whole, have ALREADY been an unprecedented one-sided American victory.
When liberal moonbat friends of mine go off on Iraq. I let them finish their rant and then look straight at them and say: "We won!"
It's time WE started saying that in reply to their nonsense.
We had some Iraq vets come speak to us at the College Republicans club last week...one of them said “If the Democrats would fight the enemy with half the vigor they fought the President we might’ve been out of this war a long time ago.” Very true.
God bless this young hero and all like him who have made victory possible. God damn those who would bring defeat on this country, these heroes and all that it means to be an American. God bless America. God bless these families who have lost loved ones. We as a country have lost too, but we have gained so much. Rest in peace Warriors.

The Left gets to set the premise for discussion/argument on any number of issues. Rather than argue based on their framed agenda, it is long past due for us to take the initiative and destroy the foundation on which they first build their lies and propaganda.

It kills them. I no longer waste my time explaining in depth to them about the Iraq War. I now just speak in their short abbreviated language that they understand: “We won!”
Like the Dem’s want to throw away 3,000 American lives for nothing ... same as my dad’s generation where they threw away 58,000 for nothing .... duty, honor, country ... things that Lib’s and Dem’s don’t know anything about ....

The Rats have been defeated too. They fought against the surge just as hard, if not harder, than al-Qaeda and the insurgency. They are disgusting.
