Good reporting. France is getting serious thanks to a New President that understands reality.
French aircraft have been bombing the Taleban and Al Q on and off in Afghanistan since 2001.
France has been assisting since 2001.

The French move from Dushanbe has been widely construed here and in NATO as a sign France and its new president, Nicolas Sarkozy, is taking a greater interest in the war in Afghanistan, and in improving relations with the United States and its closest allies.
Well done for these fellows!
And maybe with Sarkozy in place, things will just get better and better.
