God Bless the Shah of Iran and the 2,500 years of Persian Monarchy. I hope my friends find peace in this video of our historical friendship.
The Shah was always supported: he fought the true war on 'terror' against fundamentalists, communists, radicals, but the US turned it's back.

The Carter legacy is the current Iran. No one else is to blame.

I think it was Harry Truman or perhaps Dwight Eisenhower that said something like, “He (The Shaw) may be a bastard but he is “our” bastard!” Or words to that effect.

He was weak, always. Physically, mentally. Maybe if he didn’t grow up and hang out with Iranian, Euro and American trash, he might of had a chance. Also, greedy. He didn’t cut enough people in, he had no popular touch. So, you leave the gun and idealism on the street, someone is going to pick it up and use it. Old story.

Nice picture of the coronation of the Shah. I see why the throne is called the Peacock Throne.

I lived (working for a company) in Iran for two years before the Revolution and have good and lasting memories of the great Shah times. Unbelievable how the two evil forces of Islam (Khomeini) and leftism (Carter) can turn a pearl of a country into a terrorist gutter.
Javeed Shah!

Well put. And there is some of that old adage that "we reap what we sow" in this whole scenario. I wasn't all that impressed when I read that quote. Our global policy hasn't always been that lilly white. I believe I first heard that quote about the time that Robert Redford starred in that film, "Three Days of the Condor."
Anyway, thanks for your input.
