I’ve never liked Mitt. He makes John Kerry look ideologically consistent. He said what the voters wanted to hear in Mass and now he is saying what we want to hear in the primaries. A real snake if you ask me.

Mitt political career is very thin. 4 years as Governor of Massachussetts had soured him on liberal lunacy. I think that turned him more conservative.

I don’t think Mitt is too worried about a few hundred cranky FReepers vowing never to support him. He plays well with the politically disinterested general public. His biggest problem remains overcoming the anti-Mormon sentiment of Southern evangelicals - and he probably can’t do enough of that in time to win the nomination.
