Dobson seems to be in bed with the Clintons. He admitted he did not vote for Dole and now is going to possibly help elect Hillary. If I were Soros, I’d be sending Dobson checks.
Well, if you are a sheep and take all your instructions from Ann Coulter or Dr. Dobson, then you’d better not vote for Fred, right? If, on the other hand, you think for yourself, you might make up your own mind on who to support. Which is it?
Alas, you may be right.
Whatever the outcome of the presidential election, we conservatives have our work cut out for us. The problem is not just with the presidential candidates: the Republicans in Congress win no prizes either.
We may be in for some hard times.
Yea, but Fred is unacceptable to the great Dobson. I think he’s not Christian enough, or something like that. There is no way to get our side all on the same page.
Dobson is just one of millions of pro-life Christian Reagan conservatives who will not sell their eternal souls to win an election. I suggest the best way to keep Hillary out of the White House is for all of us to redouble our efforts to ensure a pro-life conservative gets the nomination. The Republican party is a pro-life, family values, conservative party. There is no reason whatsoever to throw it all away for a sure losing proposition.
Read my tagline.
One can also say that if republicans know this and still force an unacceptable candidate upon us that leads to the election of Hilary then they are doing it intentionally and not unintentionally. Let's have a viable candidate, not someone like Rudy.
Exactly! Why aren't the republicans listening? Apparently they want Hilary as president.
Gary Bauer and one more (sorry - I forget his name!) well-known person (I dislike the self-annointed title of "religious leader" and so does The Big Guy) have strongly stated that they do not agree with James Dobson saying on TV and talk radio that he opposes Fred Thompson for the Republican standardbearer for President of the United States of America
Bauer says openly that Dobson's unburkaed open threat that he will form a 3rd Party to support his choice of candidates in the 2008 Presidential election will surely put Hillary into the White House with Slick Willie for a third (and *4th term - [*my personal comment])
I posted here on Free Republic threads that Gary Bauer - who has worked with James Dobson at Focus On The Family - legally ran in the Republican primaries in 2000.
He did not win - But Gary Bauer is an honest man and played by existing rules of the FEC and IRS.
I doubt Gary Bauer will read this post on Free Republic but I'm sure he will be informed of it - I have never personally met or talked to Gary Bauer -
I do not claim grandiose egotistical "Hey! I'm important!" things on FR
Billy Graham I have talked to and I have met him several times -
But I am not his close friend or even a old acquaintance
His son Frankin Graham has the fire of George Patton in his heart and is not a wimpy blackmailing little man - his statements often mirror those of.......
Ann Coulter!
If you do not know me I must inform you that posting a whacky comment accusing me of posting a lie or false quote here on FR - You will only expose and embarrass yourself
And no spin or "You quoted out of context" followup posts will help
I shun nutcases and liars and trolls and idiots
Google Search is at your fingertips
If you cannot find the Bauer comments I have posted you might try DU or a lobotomy

I’ll run and get one tomorrow!
Darla St. Martin, associate executive director of National Right to Life, supports Thompson on those claims. She traveled to Tennessee in 1994 to meet with him. "I interviewed him and on all of the questions I asked him, he opposed abortion," she told the American Spectator's Philip Klein.
The link is here!
I assume you are addressing Dr. Dobson and not me...
.
LOL!
You know why I posted that!
No LOL about it and who else knows????
I don't know about whores and cocaine but something odd is going on here in my opinion and wouldn't be surprised if the Clinton machine has something on Dobson...
“I have no beef with Dr. Dobson, but why is he doing this now? “
He wants to be king maker.

I have agreed, even on this thread, that Fred is pro-life. But see posts #51 and #141. Fred’s rating with those same folks you bring up is not 100%. Fred worked as a lobbyist for some pro-abortion client.
I don’t know who Darla St. Martin is, did she ask him about his pro-abortion client? But I do know who James Dobson is. And also Ann Coulter. So if James Dobson has his doubts, it rings alarm bells in my head. If I call up Fred’s campaign and ask some tough questions about his stance on antichristian bigotry and homosexual marriage and abortion, what do you think are the chances they would respond? ZERO. The chances that they’d respond to Dobson? Pretty high. And the response seems to be, “I’m not going to dance to your tune.”
A better candidate is Duncan Hunter, who seems to have a higher pro-life rating (100% when I checked on one section compared to Fred’s 33% earlier tonight). If James Dobson and Bauer endorse Duncan Hunter, then he finally will get the poll numbers that make so many reed-in-the-wind republicans reluctant to support him.

Not intending to insult you
But would you care to put some money on your dreams?
