Waxman Denies Rush Investigation

I wonder if it is because of acts like this week, when the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wasted the time of the Congress of the United States to manufacture and propagate a bare faced lie about Rush Limbaugh?
He took two words that Rush spoke out of context and compiled a huge lie and began the talking points the Democrats are to repeat for the next several days.
Sen. Harkin then comes to the Senate floor and repeats the lie, accusing Rush of calling our troops in Iraq "phony soldiers."
Harkin, too, knew that was a flagrant lie as he spoke.
Then Harkin went on to state, "Maybe Rush was just high on his drugs again, who knows."
I wonder how many of the fine, upright Democrats will come forth to condemn what these hacks spout and bring back some dignity to the people's Congress.
I guess Ted Kennedy was going to speak up against this rhetoric, but maybe he was drunk.
Hillary Clinton was just about to say something, but maybe she thought she had better lie low for a while.
After all, she just called one of the most decorated generals in our military, who is in charge of and responsible for the lives of 150,000 of our young men and women in the middle of a bloody war, a liar and a traitor before even hearing what he had to say.
Bill Clinton was going to come back to defend Rush against the lie perpetrated on him, but maybe he was busy with one of the awestruck young girls from his secretary pool.
Liberal politicians are fully aware of the deceit and outright lies they spread.
I get and read moveon.org, dailykos.org, and other liberal blogs and am constantly amazed at the tripe they print.
The hate and downright vicious demeanor of these creeps is frightening.
Yes, I just did what I condemn the other side for doing.
So, what's your point?
After all, when you have nothing to offer, you can only win by making the other side look bad.
And the people that get all their news from CNN or the networks will never know the truth and will continue to vote on 10-second sound bites and slogans.

It’s telling that these cowards make their claims on the floor of Congress where they are protected from slander suits. None of them has the kojones to take up Rush’s gauntlet and make the same statements on the air, where they might be hauled into a court of law to show evidence.
They all did. A premeditated attack on an innocent American by United States Senators is unprecedented. They should resign. All of them.
What is John Kerry's excuse for saying that if a young person studies hard and gets good grades, he can get ahead in life but if he doesn't study hard he might end up stuck in Iraq. A direct attack on the intelligence of our brave soldiers.
And what is John Murtha's excuse for calling seven US Marines cold-blooded murderers? Especially in light of the fact that all charges against the seven brave Marines have been dropped.
And what is Chuck Schumer's excuse for saying that the stability that has come to Anbar Province is not the result of our brave military personnel's presence but despite it?
DemocRATS have no excuse for their anti-America, anti-military hatred. People just accept it. It's what we've come to expect from them.
Liberals continually make these hit and run attacks on conservatives. What they really are attacking is free speech, the right of people to express political opinions. If we can’t do that, what is the point of democracy?
So what was Ann Coulter’s excuse for doing the same thing to Fred Thompson?
Wild, reckless, irresponsible charges that are blatant, willful lies and misrepresentations.

Yup it was shameful, same tactic as the Media Matters et al against Rush....selective ommission of key facts added to complete falsehoods added to a little bit of truth and you have a smear. Ann your article was a disgrace.
I’m not sure what this stems from but I suspect there’s a yet untold story regarding Ann and Fred.

Ann misrepresented Fred Thompson’s impeachment vote.
She lied when she said Senator Fred Thompson voted against obstruction of justice charges against Clinton.
Fred voted FOR conviction, and Clinton’s removal from office.
Ann Coulter has lost her mind.
