BTW, what does global warming have to do with peace, that part escapes me.

hmmmmmm...people in hot climates are more likely to go to war against each other than people in cold climates where it's too damn cold?

How's that for Friday morning analysis?

Now we will never hear the end of it. Of course, we will never hear the end from Albert G. anyway, but not he will have the Nobel Prize behind his name to give him “credibility”. As many have pointed out, such luminaries as Yassir Arafat and Jimmy Carter have gotten the Prize, so what does it really mean? At this point, its just the ultimate liberal seal of approval.

This delusional hack has now been awarded an Oscar and a Nobel Prize. This is the same guy who, upon seeing busts of two great American presidents at Monticello, asked, "Who are those men?"

Let's not forget "from one, many".

I predict that Michael Moore will be considered next, for his courageous documentary [GAG] about the REAL cause of 9/11.

Its more of a humanitarian award.

For example, Arafat won it because he stopped shoving old men in wheel chairs off of ocean liners and shooting unarmed Jewish kids at Olympic games.

this is either a consolation prize (e.g. bribe) for him to not try to run against Hitlery, or a *fatal* blow (brilliant move by the powers that are moving to elect Hillary) against his chances to get elected...

...he has now been officially recognized as an America-hater along with jimmuh carter, rigoberta menchu, yasser arafat and kofi annan - communist and leftists every single one.

After looking at those pictures is anyone else but me starting to get the impression that someone on the prize committee has a sick sense of humor?

Seriously...these “prizes” are starting to get cheaper than a Miss universe pageant crown. Get in bed with the right people and....

It must be tough to be on the Nobel Prize Committee.

There are so many liars, thieves, poverty pimps, terrorists with high body counts, con artists, and these Nigerian Internet scammers so deserving of the award. It must be difficult to choose.

I guess this year they sorted the list by weight--and there he was at the top of the list!

:-)

So it’s just obvious that Katrina was caused by global warming?

Climate change will likely increase the strength of weather events. Hard to say whether it increases the frequency.

Thus the answer is yes and no.

Since the climate changing is established, the question you are asking is irrelevant. The only quesition to be debated is whether there is anthropengenic climate change and if yes, how much and is the cost of doing something greater than the benefit?

Your inital response makes me skeptical that you have given this issue must real thought - but you have been at FR for a while so maybe you will surprise me.

This is no surprise. It’s not as big of an outrage either as when they gave the award to carter, that evil man who is outraged by the US treating terrorists roughly but who has no problem with commie filth dictators terrorizing their people.

Getting the Nobel is like playing at half time at the Super Bowl. Lock Box proof that you’ve jumped the shark and your career is over.

Algore. Flunked out of a forth rate divinity school and only took two introduction science classes for non science majors and got ‘C’s’. I doubt he ever took a calculus class.
