doctors discovered a partially blocked artery in his neck during an examination of his back, which was injured in a 1964 airplane crash.

Plane crash, hmmmmm? Nothing to do with a car accident?

Here’s hoping he has a full recovery and the opportunity to serve out the rest of his life in prison.

Prayers for him. Even though he is wrongheaded politically he is one of gods children and I wish him a speedy recovery.

Ditto. I also pray that G-d touches this man's heart and show him the path of truth.

That’s crap. And weird.

Jesus is about love and forgiveness.

Reflecting on his long career, has there ever been a Senator who did more damage to this country?

I won’t even start on his personal life.

Here’s hoping for the one in a million- that he has a deathbed epiphany AND comes back to us.

I won’t pray for him now, but I will suspend my current negative feelings for him until he recovers. If his situation deteriorates I will pray for his recovery, but I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Did I say BRIDGE? Oops, sorry.........

now come one guys!
What fun would it be around here is we lost Hillary, Teddy and Peloski ? they are the main source of all our material!
If something bad happened to any of them, I would have to feel compassion for them, and that’s not something I am prepared to do right now. I’m just not ready, you know?

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy underwent surgery Friday after doctors discovered a partially blocked artery in his neck during an examination of his back, which was injured in a 1964 airplane crash

That might explain his half a brain philosophy, but probably not. 64 airplane crash? More like a 1969 automobile crash into the drink (and after a few drinks)

Even though he is wrongheaded politically he is one of gods children and I wish him a speedy recovery.

You can wish him a speedy recovery, but he is as much of an enemy as any NVA or VC or Al Qaeda combatant, and frankly I don't wish my enemies good fortune. They're "God's children" too, but I didn't wish any of them a "speedy recovery" I wonder how many vets out there were wishing that nothing bad ever happened to their enemies. I get tired of the sanctimonious attitudes expressed by some of the people here.

Hard to say bad things here but why should we get him here?

Hmm.
I hate that I did not get to see the pulled thread.

Yes, we DO have a higher standard here at FR, but man is it DIFFICULT not to say what we really think and HOPE happens to “the swimmer.”

He's spent more time there in the last 25 years than in Massachusetts.

Prayers for him. He needs to live to be brought to justice for Mary Jo, though I won’t hold my breath while waiting.

May his alcohol withdrawal symptoms be most unpleasant.

That is SO hilarious!
Love the proportion of him compared to the size of the chopper!

Agreed, but it’s not up to any one of us to make that judgement. Let’s leave that chore up to the God who told us to not judge. I hate teddy with every cell in my body, but dtermining his fate is not a given authority to any one of us.
And yes, God to us not to hate (and to forgive), but we all need at least one weakness!
