If he’s sincere about welcoming Jesus into his heart, then wonderful. God will forgive him for sins. However, God’s forgiveness does not mean you can avoid facing the consequences your of actions.

Deception. Disinformation. Cover: Western operational terms and techniques. But, Islamic terrorists have their own terms: taqiyya (pronounced tark-e-ya) : precautionary dissimulation or deception and keeping one’s convictions secret and a synonymous term, kitman: mental reservation and dissimulation or concealment of malevolent intentions...

Exactly 100,000% dead on! In fact, he should EMBRACE the punishment that is coming to him if he is indeed sincere...

Andrew McCarthy’s an idiot.

I wonder if he thinks we should have taken a vote before letting Paul into the “religion”. After all, he killed a lot of Christians before his conversion.

That said, even if true this obviously doesn't change the fact that he needs to spend the rest of his life in that prison (since the death penalty wasn't available).

That's right.

Christians everywhere should pray his conversion is genuine though, as we should pray for all to convert. After all, life in prision is nothing compared to an eternity in heaven (or hell).

Thank goodness! Now that he’s no longer in the protected Muslim class, the PC Police won’t mind if we execute him. Christians are killed all over the world and no one really seems to care.

"It could be sincere. On the other hand, the Prophet Muhammed said war is deceit,"

...

One of their first rules...Lying is acceptable to Allah!!

...

I agree. I hope this story is true, but color me a skeptic. I've heard, just recently, of muslims pretending to convert.

...

While I wish his conversion were true, the previous warden said he had eyes like Charlie Manson.

...

Islamic terrorists have their own terms: taqiyya (pronounced tark-e-ya) : precautionary dissimulation or deception and keeping one’s convictions secret and a synonymous term, kitman: mental reservation and dissimulation or concealment of malevolent intentions...

...

If he lives the remainder of his life in prison, praying as a Christian and behaving as a Christian; and when he dies an old man - in prison, if - on his deathbed - he continues to profess his conversion to Christianity, I will believe him.

Not a moment before.

He may be a genuine convert, or he may be under the misapprehension that he will be treated more leniently if he converts.

I have read a number of prison conversion stories. Some of them are truly moving. But just because someone repents his crimes and converts and becomes a Christian and joins the Prison Fellowship and helps to convert others doesn’t mean that he is let out of jail. He still has to serve out his sentence.

There are many such cases, and that’s the way it has to be. Such genuine converts have the joy of Christ in their souls and the blessings of grace, not a get out of jail free card.

Probably, if they were let out of jail, they would not repeat their crimes, because their lives have been genuinely transformed. But too bad, they still have to serve out their sentences. God will reward them, and indeed rewards them even as they continue to live the sufferings of imprisonment, but justice must follow its course.

I don’t know if Yousef understands that. Maybe he is a genuine convert, but I’d need to see a lot more than this before I believed it.

Doesn’t Islam declare a fatwa on someone who abandons Islam? We may yet get that death penalty for him.

I’ll believe the conversion when he wipes his backside with a Quran and flushes it.

If that’s true, then he can start a prison ministry.

He still deserves to spend the rest of his life in jail.

But with faith in God’s endless Mercy, at least he can look forward to heaven.

My opinion: he, his lawyers, and the so-called mainstream media are teaming up to push an agenda to try and make us feel sorry for him. I can't imagine how "60 Minutes" would have even learned of this unless his lawyers went out of their way to notify them.

In any event, even if it really is true, I'm not particularly moved.

If he did, then alleluia! That said, he still needs to pay for his crime and as a Christian, he would understand that.

He may be a genuine convert, but I think someone was slipping pork fat into his meals.
