I guess I’m really a child of The Sixties.
I don’t think “Sounds of Silence” belongs on the list.

And I must be a redneck too, as I’d disagree with the Toby Keith selection.

TOBY KEITH
“Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” 2002

I stopped right there!

I’m way too old to even know some of these songs. I was thinking more like, Bobby Vinton and “Roses are Red”.

What happened to “People?”

People. People who need people...are the LUCKIEST people in the world.

Try to get that out of your mind for the rest of the night. ;)

There are some S&G songs that are bad but “Sounds of Silence” is not one of them.

“I am a Rock” is terrible.

Yep. “Heart of Rock & Roll” is the 6th worst song??? In reading the “opinions” you can discern a snippy pseudo-intellectual liberal at work trying to find something to rail against. While some of the songs are indeed pretty lame we all have our opinions in this area.

I have to disagree with this one:

42
SIMON & GARFUNKEL
“The Sounds of Silence” 1965
If Frasier Crane were a song, he would sound like this From the terrible opening line, in which darkness is addressed as “my old friend,” the lyrics of “The Sounds of Silence” sound like a vicious parody of a pompous and pretentious ...

Makes me think that the person that said the above does not know what Paul Simon was referring to when he wrote the lines:

Hello darkness, my old friend,
I've come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains

CÉLINE DION
“My Heart Will Go On” 1998

I'm sorry, but I like this song.

I liked the movie, too. Sue me.

1. Don't Worry Be Happy.

2. You're Beautiful (Vocal piece of masturbation by Ms. Aguilera).

3. Musrat Love.

4. God Bless America (Not a bad tune, I just HATE Kate Smith's voice. She sounds like a drag queen).

5. Mambo #5

6. Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, etc.

Enough of this negativity! I would like to create a list of the most UNDERRATED songs of all time: "Nothing but a Heartache" by the Flirtations, "Ballad of Dwight Fry" by Alice Cooper, etc.

Don’t know who/what “blender” is (don’t care either ;’}

I like music. Worst of anything is subjective but generally in the “worst of” categories I use the simple filter:

1. Anything “rap” (actually rap is disqualified because rap isn’t music)

2. Anything “Yoko” (see #1)

I can handle most nearly anything else (including “Tiny Bubbles ;’}

No freakin' kidding. They have 3 rappers here, but no thugs. I guess they don't wanna risk getting shot.
