Go for it. We have the same problem in my state. However, we are outnumbered by the left, who reside west of the Cascades.

The last effort to divide Washington State was lead by Sen. Bob Morton (R) in 2005. It's been tried numerous times, always fails. The socialists on the west side don't want to lose their power or your tax revenue.

The Republican from Orient [Sen. Bob Morton] is the prime sponsor on a joint memorial in the Senate that asks President Bush to create a new state east of the Cascades that would comprise 20 of the current state's 39 counties. Nine other Republican senators have signed on in support. Similar measures have been introduced in past years without success.
