I don't believe our forefathers were referring to Allah and neither am I. I think God is fine because it cover it all. As far as I am concerned Allah is God in Arabic and we are referring to the same God. And we are speaking English here, so God should work. From my understanding, the Muslim believe in the same God as the Jews (which would make the Allah the same God as the Christians) but they are using Mohammad’s take on Him. So, they shouldn't mind using God while Pledging Allegiance to the United States of America.
