Those who believed Fred Thompson was the answer to the Gop primary woes made a serious error in judgement. He didn’t clarify the field, he confused it even more.

What's truly amazing is the way so many Freepers fell so hard for Fred, with so little in the man's resume to back it up.

Not very different from the way all of DU fell for Bev Harris. And the hangover is going to be almost as much fun to watch.

Mind you, I don't dislike Fred and I would vote for him if he were the GOP candidate, but in so many ways he strikes me as Bob Dole redux.

And the guy in your tagline is still nothing more than a single blade of grass in the field.

But you got to let Fred be Fred. If conservatives want to just throw their votes away and get Hillary elected, that’s their right.

Hunter is the only candidate who can beat Hillary and put the GOP back in power and on the right course. This is my first and last primary and I only care about this one because Hunter seems worth the effort.

My naivety got a wake up call very early in the process that’s for sure. Rudy? You’ve got to be kidding! I saw a Google ad for him that read, “want to stop illegal immigration, contribute to Rudy”. Unfreaking believable, that sort of speaks for itself.

Also on threads just like this one you can watch the Fred and Mitt supporters duke it out for the conservative nod. Mitt might be a very nice guy and I have nothing against him but I would never use “conservative” to describe him politically.

I figure the man did about what he could in his very blue, nearly socialistic state and bear him no ill will. Yet, to trust that he is this conservative now who will secure the borders and fight for the unborn takes a leap of faith. I have leaped with these guys before and I always ended up in the bottom of a canyon. I am not trusting these guys anymore. If they don’t bring it with them I am not going to trust they are going to get it.

Fred has great support but that one I have never figured out. He may be the one candidate who comes off as apathetic as the American voter. Perhaps he is on to something; “Vote for Fred, he won’t do anything!” I thought this guy is going to be great but then I looked up his Senate record and I am not sure what the fuss is all about. All the buzz was created over his short stint in the Senate? What it amounts to now is his supporters quoting poll numbers and constantly spinning for him.

Huckabee, well Huckabee is easier and is no conservative. He’s a shameless panderer who stopped just short of calling us racists because we want our borders secure. Last time I checked, “illegal” wasn’t a race nor enforcing the law, racist.

So it comes down once again to trusting these guys or voting for Hunter who has already taken action on issues and who has never wavered or begged any questions as to his positions nor his being an authentic conservative.

It’s a choice, and I choose to extend my faith in regard to Hunter getting elected, rather than extending it in believing these candidates will do what they say they will. Been there, done that, shame on me.

I am not going to cover McCain and you can thank me for that later. Ron Paul, well, he is Ron Paul but he should play his strengths up. Like always wear a Peter Pan costume and Spock ears to every debate and campaign function. It wouldn’t hurt anything if he flew on stage or perhaps was made to appear as if he was “beamed” to the podium. He should always be accompanied by a Mexican wrestler named, “El Torro”, but that goes without saying. One last thing, lots and lots of circus music. I am sure there are different opinions, this one is mine, heh.
