He called them "phony soldiers," now Rush Limbaugh is trying to cover up his goof and make money off of it.
Limbaugh is auctioning off the letter that senate democrats wrote to his boss trying to get him to apologize for calling Iraq soldiers who don't support the war "phony."
Limbaugh says he's going to donate the money to educate the children of soldiers who died on duty.
Unbelievable. I don’t know the politics of Sacramento, but I didn’t think they were “moonbatish” as San Francisco or Berkeley. And isn’t that where Rush started out?
These libs are not supposed to be “judgmental”, yet they’ve already tried and executed Rush. Idiots.
BTW, Rush’s sale of the letter on ebay, and eventual donation to the Marines, is pure genius on his part! Good for him.
I could’ve written a better article when I was 16.
Just a hint of bias in that headline....yeah,,, just a hint.
CBS obviously gets its news from the “Hillary Matters” (Media Matters) and Democratic National Committee daily faxes. They wouldn’t know the truth if they fell over it.
$45,000 dollars is the bid so far; proceeds goes to help United States Marine Corps families.
over 170,000 hits so far.
This CBS affiliate would not know their head from a hole in the groud.
Yeah nevermind, poster above me has it right.
$45,000*** it is
Sounds like it took the lefties’ braintrust two days to get their response together, such as it is.
Oh yes indeed, the local paper, The Sacramento Bee, has an agenda fully in line with everybody else.
Note also BTW that CBS here wants us to believe that Rush is going to “make money” off the auction. In fact, of course, he’s paying the Ebay fee out of his own pocket.
This article is nothing more than “Liberal MSM spin” attempting to whitewash Liberal/Marxist attempts to take away our Freedom of Speech. Rush isn’t covering up anything and he’s not making money off it either. The troops know who supports them and who doesn’t. Liberals in the US Congress “mouth” the words, “we support the troops” while doing everything in their power to “undermine our troops and our country” as well as “undermine the war on terror.” The MSM is complicit in that attempt.
Yup, here in St. Louis (KMOX) the morning show host, Charlie Brennan, who precedes Rush’s show first ignored the story, then a week later played only enough of Rush’s comments to continue the smear.
I’ve had to put KMOX on a 6 month suspension (except for Rush) here in the factory.
NOW the real "story" here in saner, more normal times has to be just one: will the Liberal-Socialists accept Limbaugh's challenge to match whatever the letter brings at auction for the charity?
-Or-
Will the Liberal-Socialist's media arm quisling-scribes next tack be something more *creative* in an effort to run cover for their masters like demonizing the charity.
...wonder which is more likely. ;^)
Wow. Just wow. What a steaming turd of an article.
Two words for any idiot that tries this BS on me.
JESSE MCBETH.
Everyone go to http://www.cbs13.com/contact to register your thoughts on this article. I’m sure they’d love to hear from all of us.
Thanks xjcsa. I just did. :)
Just did....
Just one question? Do you guys ever research a story before writing the headline and content? I have watched and read for two weeks about this Harry Reid (yes, I know, I named your unnamed senator) plus 41 signitaturies fiasco that has blown up in their collective faces. Limbaugh has nothing to “spin” because he didn’t say anything wrong and he has, is, and probably will be a big supporter to and for our troops while Reid and company are calling the troops idiots and losers.
The irony and hypocrisy comes from Raid, et.al. trying to, as we say, be “The pot calling the kettle black”.
You know, self-honesty is sorely lacking in the American environment today. So, one day research your own epistemology - it just may be enlightening!
