“We strongly urge the United States to correct the mistakes, cancel the relevant arrangements, and stop interfering in China’s internal affairs by any means,” foreign ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said.
Liu said Bush’s meeting with the Tibetan spiritual leader, one day before the Dalai Lama receives a congressional Gold Medal, “seriously violates the fundamental rules of international relations, hurts the Chinese people’s feelings and grossly interferes in China’s internal affairs.”
He said the Dalai Lama was “purely an exiled politician who is involved in activities to split the motherland in the name of religion.”

Tell China we will listen to their complaints when they stop funding the genocide in Darfur, leave Taiwan alone, get out of Tibet, and stop funneling money to the Clintons. Until then China, GO TO HELL!

If Bush had any he'd call on China to release it's grasp on Tibet and withdraw from the region.

In 1950, the People's Liberation Army invaded the Tibetan area of Chamdo, crushing minimal resistance from the ill-equipped Tibetan army. So Tibet is "Occupied Territory", to use the Israeli parlance. Why aren't we holding 4-party "Quartet" talks to establish an "independent Tibetian state"?

Well, I imagine the Dalai Lama is China's Nelson Mandela. The only irony is that some who are so sympathetic to the Dalai Lama weren't particular supportive of Nelson Mandela.
Most are consistent, which do get my ire when supporting the Dalai Lama. It's those that have double standards that I find galling.

"correct this mistake," said Wang Baodong, spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington.
The mistake was made in 1950 when China invaded Tibet in full throttle rape and plunder mode. They think it can be forgotten.

The Chicoms feel put off by such a simple man. One wonders why? The issue of Tibet has not gone away despite the Chinese regime's efforts to wipe it from the world's consciousness.
