618,000 dead Americans did not do the trick? We still need to apologize?
The U.S. paid for the sin of slavery with blood. An apology would only demean that sacrifice.

"FINALLY! Will this be the end of it - for good?"I fear that an official federal apology will only fuel the fire for reparations. I can hear the 'civil rights leaders' now. "They apologized ... but apologies are empty. What we really need is M-O-N-E-Y".

No really, WTF is WRONG with Republicans??? I used to think the reason they kept stepping in the giant pile of crap was because they never looked down. I’m beginning to think they go around LOOKING for crap to step in. Out of the blue, here comes another one, wandering aimlessly straight for the pile.

Let me guess: they're gonna pay for it by MORE taxes on tobacco, and a new tax on underwear (the logic being that "slaves" worked on tobacco and cotton farms?).
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
I think being a Senator should actually disqualify someone for running for President.

With this move, it’s obvious to me Brownback will announce his abandonment of his “Presidential Campaign” within a few days....
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
He also praises Teddy Kennedy for his leadership on immigration reform. What is it with this guy?You really want to know?
Brownback is a freakin' religious true believer of the week mental case who loves "open borders" and has sponsored numerous refugee programs that bring in African and Muslim tribalists to settle here
He has changed his religious affiliation 3 times
But even though he is nuts he has the drive energy and ambition to get into the US Senate and rule over your sorry a$$ and mine too
Is that explanation good enough for you?

NOTHING intelligent comes out of the mouth of anyone who presently holds the claim to the title of Senator.

Senator Sam Brownback, a Republican trying to inject new life into his beleaguered presidential campaign, plans to offer a resolution this week for Congress to apologize for slavery and segregation."Inject new life"??
This ought to kill it once and for all. What an idiot.

Sounds like he wants to be Obama’s VP...

I don’t think it is a joke, unfortunately. Republicans need an INTERVENTION Convention, immediately. They all need to be locked in a giant room, with their supporters. They need to be sat down, and reasoned with until they come their senses. Some may need exorcism. Some may need Depends. But they ALL need intervention.
To: Bobbisox
At this rate he may even announce his intentions to run for governor of Kalifornia.

What is it with this guy? He's a shameless, pandering, politician and also-ran POTUS candidate and overall jackass. He's already yesterday's news, he just doesn't know it yet. Turn out the lights, his party's over. Perhaps Brownback and Paul can start a "we coulda been contenders" thumbsucking club.
