As a senior at a state university with a no-weapons policy (we’re lucky the police can carry), the idea that simply questioning a ridiculous policy can get you suspended and referred to a psychiatrist, is absolutely horrifying. It's called "zero tolerance" and it's been around since the Safe Schools Act (which declared all educational institutions to be "gun-free" school zones.)
