Dean: Bush Republicans Are Leaving Millions of Children Behind October 18, 2007

Washington, DC - Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean issued the following statement after Republican members of the House of Representatives voted to uphold President Bush's veto of the State Children's Health Insurance Program, denying health care to ten million children. Just yesterday, a new CBS News poll showed 8 in 10 Americans support expanding the program. [CBS News, 10/17/07]

"Today, Republicans in Congress chose to side with President Bush and leave millions of children behind. Bush Republicans will spend billions of dollars on their failed strategy in Iraq, but have no problem denying millions of children the health care they need and deserve. This is shameful. Democrats remain committed to the children in our country and will continue to fight Republicans until every child has the health care they need and deserve."

“Just yesterday, a new CBS News poll showed 8 in 10 Americans support expanding the program. [CBS News, 10/17/07]”

Which means that 8 in 10 Americans are ignorant morons.

Yeah, million of ILLEGALS, who shouldn’t have it anyway. The RATS won’t be able to acquire those illegal votes that they shouldn’t have anyway.

Dr, Dean, the Democrats controlled congress for 52 but did nothing for children’s healthcare. It was a Republican Bill which created SCHIPS. How many millions of children died because of your callous disregard? You sir, are a stinky poo-poo.

Dr Dean, If this is so desperately urgent Dr Dean, why don't Democrats simply reauthorize the exiting program and offer their $35 billion expansion of the Schip program as a separate measure?

Can you explain to tens of millions of working class voters why they should pay much more in taxes so Democrats can extend Govt Health Care benefits to the children of people making up to $82,000 a year until age 25?

Shouldn’t this be that Republicans refuse to act as parent for dead beat Democrats who never provided for their children?

every child has the health care they need and deserve.

What a load. If a child needs health care his middle class parents, who love him, will get it for him...that's what they've done up to this point.

What about my children? Do they deserve to be enslaved by you, Mr Nutjob Dean? What right do you have to enslave their father and take food from their mouths?

I guess Mr Dean can tell which children "deserve" government handouts and which ones don't.

In the 14 states who will overspend their SCHIP budgets this year, 55% of the "children" are adults!

I find it amusing that the party of abortion is now using the children theme.

I once saw President Bush kick a puppy dog and saw him pull the tail off of a gecko. Pure evil I tell ya... How dare him not insure little helpless and sick kids who's parents own 4 automobiles, a newly remodeled half-million dollar home, who's kids go to $20K/year private schools, and who own commercial lease property.

What next Mr. Bush? Cut the whiskers off a kitty and throw it up into the air!

Health care is not a right and paying for children’s health care is the responsibility of their parents, not of other people. Howard Dean is a Socialist who leads a party committed to theft in the name of compassion, whose perpetrators are allowed to insult the character of any victims who dare complain.

"Today, Republicans in Congress chose to side with President Bush and leave millions of children behind..."

That way we can grind them up and use them as Soyent Green paste for our protein supplements...

By the way Howard, setting aside the rhetorical hyperbole about the 'millions of children left behind' for a moment -- how many actual real children (with beating hearts) have been 'left behind' by your abortion loving brethren? ... If you want to be appalled about something, be appalled about that -- not about a minor slow-down in the increase of the ever expanding Nanny State...
