Democrat says troops 'get their heads blown off for the president's amusement'
Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif., speaking to House today The House GOP leader is calling on Democratic Rep. Pete Stark of California to apologize for stating during debate today that President Bush derives amusement from sending young Americans to Iraq to kill innocent people and then "get their heads blown off."
Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio, said Stark should "retract his statement and apologize to the House, our commander-in-chief, and the families of our soldiers and commanders fighting terror overseas."
During debate on the State Children's Health Insurance Program, or S-CHIP, Stark accused Republicans of misplaced fiscal priorities.

I did, however, get through to Pelosi’s office. Her staff, obviously not wanting to hear my rant, immediately forwarded me to her comment line. Mr. Stark needs to be informed of the number of wounded/maimed/”blown-up”-but-NOT-killed soldiers/Marines/sailors who STILL persevere in doing their tours in the Land between the Rivers.

Pete Stark is a raving lunatic. If he was a dog, somebody would have put him out of his obvious misery by now.
I've just about given up hope. They've been spouting this rhetoric and worse for too long now and yet they survive (politically) to spew their filth another day, even more emboldened than they were the day before.
I've expected it to cost them dearly, yet see no signs that the masses are even awake, much less outraged.
