This is nothing new. Most college students will never hear or read that liberals have been dissing America ever since the 1930’s. First, it was how marvy the Commies were. Mao was an agrarian reformer and Uncle Joe was just like us. Remember? I do. Then in the Cold War, we caused the Russians to behave beastly. Same in Nam et al. Castro was just a reformer and we were the evil ones. Now the Islamos are just misunderstood and Israel and the USA bully the Muslims into being beastly! Frankly, liberals never have loved the USA except when they can drain the materialism from our free enterprise system which they also hate!

So, the US should have declared war on Afghanistan.

Then that would have been it.

Even in the aftermath of 9/11, there’s no way Congress would have done that. Instead, the Dhimmicrats have to come out of the closet in opposition to fighting our enemies in each theater opened by the President, either by denigrating our fighting forces or threatening to withhold funding. They’ve lost each and every time, before and after regaining majority.

Bush could have had a declaration of war on 9/12 if he had asked for one. The Dhimmicrats were too intimidated to say no. To publicly fight against such a declaration would have been political suicide for Dhimmicrats. By choosing the weaker of the options Bush brought this on himself.

They’ve lost each and every time, before and after regaining majority. Gee, too bad the President brought that on himself.

There are far left types here in Fairbanks. You can spot them because they do trendy things like skiing with their retrievers or biking in the road rather than using the bike trail. They vote Green Party rather than Democrat so it is not a total disaster.

These bikers who refuse to ride on bike trails are a weird lot. They explain to me that ‘real’ bikers use the roads so that they can ride fast : like 40 mph ( even when the car speed limits are 30 mph ).

They tell me that bike trails are only for women and kids.

Of course, they run every red light and stop sign.

Two sets of rules theory...

What dark and empty room? That dark and empty room is
of one’s own making.

Just as you discovered rock n roll at the age of 11-12, so too,
are you charged w/ opening your eyes to the vast expanse of the
world that is. Ignorance is NO excuse. This is what HLM was
getting at. Libber-al-ism relies on ignorance and stupidity.

As the Eagles said:

So often times it happens
that we live our lives in chains
and we rarely even know we have the key;
but me,
I’m already gone
I will sing this victory song.

I once figured out the cost per mile on a bicycle and found it was more than the cost per mile in a car. I suspect the carbon footprint is bigger too.
