Democrats are so self centered they will probably say it fetched so much because of the popularity of the 41 Senators that signed it.
They will start fighting over whose signature made it worth so much.
If it had been up to those senators, Rush would have been kicked off the air and nobody would have contributed to the charity. How much personal money have these senators given to charities that help the military.
None probably - they are too busy giving their money to code pink and move on and abortion and environment,

Never did we think that we could actually win he peace in Iraq.
Never did we think that opening the arctic to environmentally safe drilling would help ease our dependence on foreign oil. The democrats are incapable of thinking or understanding how a dynamic economy functions.

Bidding on this ended a couple hours ago. A letter signed by Hillary, Obama, Reid, and Kennedy goes for $2,000,000 on eBay and I see nothing about this at cnn.com abcnews.com or cbsnews.com. Today’s reminder that the media sucks. Meanwhile, the Daily Kos Kooks are trying to spin this as an “apology” by Rush.

regardless, the point is, they had plenty of time to get whoever they wanted to sign, there was no rush to send this letter, they had all the time in the world. it shows, however, that they were rushing to make as much of it as they could before reality set in. they knew they only had a couple of days before the actual words were played and people could hear what he actually said. the lack of time reflects the limited amount of time they had to distort and politicize.

Every dollar that was bid, every call that was made to Rush, every sentiment expressed both monetarily and personally were repudiations of Reid, not gratuities to Reid. He is again demonstrating that the democrat mind cannot see the truth, even when it is explained to him.
Rush’s new slogan, “all you liberal village idiots belong to me.”
Where are the Republicans who should be screaming about the dishonest and unethical attempt by Reid to mislead the American people by taking credit that is unquestionably not his. What an incredible lowlife.

Because when Reid sent the letter he wasn't expecting Rush to fight back. Reid is such an arrogant *@!$ he was expecting to get Clear Channel and Rush to start bowing and apologizing....sort of what they do to Hillary. Have you EVER seen a democrat want to shake hands after a fight?NEVER....This is a big victory for Rush having Reid trying to save face on the floor of the senate when everyone KNOWS whats going on.
