Pretty big target nabbed, it would seem.

The terror groups are attempting to influence the Polish elections and force a withdrawal of the eastern European nation. You know this line would never make it past an MSM editor.

Prefer the Military's headline, it is more intellectually honest.
UPDATE: Coalition forces target Special Groups leader, 49 criminals killed

They must be getting a mother-lode of intel on these guys to be able to target them this distinctly.

No doubt. That is why victory is at hand. The populace both Sunni and Shia have decided to help the US destroy Al Qaeda and Iranian terrorists in Iraq and it is working much better than most people expected.

We blew them up real good!

strategypage has been reporting that Iran has been pulling their Revolutionary Guard operatives out of Iraq because we’ve been specifically targeting and capturing them in the past year and getting a motherload of intel out of them when they start to talk.

That is why victory is at hand. I think you may be right.

More good news. What i fail to comprehend is why we haven’t eliminated Al Sadr. How difficult would it be to take him out?I understand the new .50 cal sniper rifle is highly accurate out to 1 mile or more? One clean shot-no collateral damage for the msm to whine about.Wouldn’t “cutting off the snakes head” be to our(and Iraqs)benefit?

Yes, the article at that link is much easier to understand. It’s interesting they are calling the enemy “criminals.” If you are attacked by the enemy and caught in a fierce firefight, I wouldn’t think of branding the attacker as a “criminal.”

Good work guys, more good news on the road to victory.

Do the current ROEs allow him to be specifically targetted?
My impression is that he was off the target list for a
long time, but may be back on it, and has been keeping
a very low profile on that account. He knows very well that...

If he’s on the list, and a sniper could get that close,
a concrete-filled PGM could more easily be dropped on him.
I suspect his demise will be as collateral damage when
a coven of his close associates are targetted someday.
