I went to your website and looked up books on the topic of economics. I found one book, Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide to the Economy which I cannot recommend anymore enthusiastically.
Thomas Sowell is a genius! He uses the Garden of Eden of the Bible to explain what a economy is not. Dr. Sowell shines light on a great many Biblical economic concepts all throughout his book. He explains the failures of a command economy and centralized government, and illustrates the benefits of billions and billions of quality decisions a free market can produce.
We cannot simply hire enough bureaucrats, even if you had access to all the bureaucrats throughout history, to produce the same number of quality decisions made in one year, in the remaining free market economy of the United States.
Dr. Richard A. Jones' latest newsletter is another example of a decentralized economic model. Home schooling, which is vastly more efficient than government school systems, is good example of a decentralized economy.
It strikes me very odd though, that while Dr. Richard Jones promotes private schools and home schooling over government schools, simply because of the difference in decision-processes in each model, he does not also apply that same reasoning to our current tax system and the Fairtax HR25/S1025.
In the Fairtax.org tax plan it is you and not the government that decides exactly how much tax you are going to save.
Maybe someday Christians Leaders will trust in God completely. Maybe they will understand His Mercy and Blessing toward man when He confused our language in the historic Great Tower of Babylon incident, very effectively decentralizing the government man was attempting to build. Building in arrogance to be equal or greater than God! Government is not God! I can only pray that we will all Repent and follow the Way of the Master in every economy, including our tax system and educational system.
I highly recommend “Socialism” by Ludwig von Mises as well.
