Polls Take Toll On Outwitted Obama Forces
IBD ^ | October 23, 2007 | David Broder

These are difficult days for supporters of Barack Obama. This city is filled with people who have voted for, worked for, contributed to and, in many cases, prayed for the success of the young senator from Illinois. The struggle he has had in trying to overtake Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination is wearing on their morale.

Last weekend, I heard them tell each other that while the race started months ago, it is still early going; that the crucial days in Iowa and New Hampshire are still ahead; and that there is time for Obama to close with a rush, as he did when he came from behind to capture the nomination for his Senate seat back in 2004.

But the steady drumbeat of polls showing Clinton with more support than all the other Democrats combined — and twice as much as Obama — is taking a toll. In their private moments, they wonder whether even Obama, as gifted as he is, can pull off this feat.

Never have I seen such an unqualified group for POTUS, in my life.

And Hussein stands there arrogantly with his hands at his sides.

“Senate seat back in 2004”, as if that wasn’t LESS than just four years ago? He has less than four years of National experience, and he thinks he’s qualified?

Obama has raised alot of cash. This indicates how
shallowness of the liberal mind.

It’s sacry that an empty headed man can grift
so much cash. The mentality of the liberal is
bankrupt no passion for truth.

We can dump on Obama all we like, but he’s the only thing standing between Queen Hitlery and the Democrat nomination. I guess it may seem to some that castrating him at this time is a great idea, but I’d rather Fred Thompson do so next fall.

Folks, as bad as Obama may be, he’s a first year tee-ball player compared to the Dixie Mafia’s answer to the Babe Ruth of Marxist politics. Let’s cut him some slack eh?

The national anthem was being heard when that photo was taken? Or the Pledge of Allegiance? Whichever.
Obama doesn’t place hand over heart, and he doesn’t wear flag pins, and he doesn’t win nominations for President either!

I think it's a little dicey to refer to castration generally, more so in a sentence describing a black candidate's chances for office. Just makes me kind of squeamish. Maybe I'm getting to Seinfeldian and politically correct.

As to the gist of your comment, you're right. Obama is almost certainly less dangerous to the country than the Xlinton gang.

Correct, if he wasn’t black he’d have been history months ago. Libs are so enamored of supporting blacks. It makes them feel soooo proud of themselves. They did this is MA and look how it turned out. Massive tax increase proposals to pay for rewarding every high school grad with a “free” college education and also to bail out all those hurt by the sub prime mess.

It is little wonder MA is losing population. I left there for good in June and won’t go back, even to vacation on the Cape, which I love. I simply cannot tolerate the people up there.

They look like they should be be going to a hospital for the criminally insane. Not the White House.

Look at that little Chairman Mao outfit that Hitlery is sporting. Yeow. She even has Mao’s svelte figure.

My comments were intended to generate an agreement that it wasn’t a good idea to help destroy Obama’s political chances before he could eliminate Hillary in the primaries. It was a call to back off on him for now.

In addition, I don’t think anyone would rationally think I was actually suggesting Fred Thompson do something along the literal lines of my euphemism.

My intent was to suggest Fred Thompson neutralize Obama’s political viability for election next fall, by explaining why Obama’s views were politically inadvisable.

I appreicate you’re bringing the subject up so I could address it. When making the comment about Obama, it didn’t occur to me at all that I might be treating him any differently than I would any other candidate I might be make the same point about. And that’s why you and others can rest assured I wasn’t.

One needn’t look very far to find an equally piss-poor selection of unqualified candidates for POTUS: Try the Republican side, for example. Every election cycle, back to as far as I can remember, we are presented with as many mental midgets as want to play this particular version of “American Idol” only to be spoon-fed one each from the opposing teams that always and forever seem to be the most “electable” of the lot of losers the parties began with.

Sadly, we the people are left with nothing more than a “lesser-of-two-evils” choice between the most photogenic, the most charming, the most charismatic, or the better panderer of the two. On election day, after much hard work and long hours of hand-wringing, it is the long-dead and the illegitimate or bribed voters that determine the outcome: Always the ones with the least to lose. We need a constitutional ammendment requiring property ownership as a prerequisite to the right to vote. That will never happen, but I can dream, can’t I?

It is going to be a very long season. Gird yourselves, and load up on anti-nausea meds.

)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

That’s not his “sides” Hussein has a plan “B” in mind in case Hillery does not appoint him to the post Al Gore vacated a few years back. Hussein want’s to be on a MLB farm team and is practicing the scratch. He did not get the proper shots so missed out on the opening ceremony at a NASCAR event where they know what the National Anthem is all about.

I only thought that we get enough criticism from folks like BORe already. I know you meant nothing by it, having read your posts for ages.
