Someone posted an animated gif of a progress bar titled: “attempting to give a damn” then “failed”

At a FRedhead meeting the other night, I talked to a Florida reservist who been deployed and stationed in Baghdad.

He had a lot of interesting inside stuff to relate, but the gist running through it was "don't trust ONE THING the liberal MSM is reporting regarding the war in Iraq....NOTHING!"

But wait...all I hear from the MSM is, well...crickets. And the occasional hit piece about how terrible things are.

The last I heard, the MSM was complaining that the casket makers and funeral parlors in Iraq were not doing well.

I seriously hope that we revisit the Vietnam war during the 2008 elections and how it was the Democrats forced the US to lose that one too.

Much as Barone says the Dems suffered from a lack of foresight in assuming our military would not improve the situation, we all must be careful to not assume the same error of linear thought.

Our enemy is crafty and evil. Just because things are going well, does not mean our enemy won't adapt and improvise and rear its evil head in another fashion. If it does, the Dems will be given fodder all over again for all of their wailing and gnashing of teeth.

This is what they are waiting for. This is why they are currently silent.

They concentrated on military targets and were using the brand new “smart bombs” on bridges and other hard to hit areas. They were also hitting Haiphong hard with bombs and the mines in the ocean had cut sea traffic to nothing. The B 52 drivers had seen massive missle responses the first several days but with no resupply, they had virtually run out of anti aircraft missles and the good guys were flying almost unopposed the last couple of days.

Thanks. Good points. It seems to me some political targeting would have been in order as well.
