A University of Wisconsin System regent has quit because he's upset over how the governor has treated illegal immigrants.
Jesus Salas sent his resignation letter Friday morning as Gov. Jim Doyle signed the new two-year state budget. Salas accused Doyle in his letter of not fighting hard enough for a budget provision that would have let illegal immigrants who graduate from Wisconsin high schools pay in-state tuition. Lawmakers stripped the measure from the document.
Salas went on to say he's angry with Doyle for signing laws that require proof of citizenship to get a driver's license and prohibit illegal immigrants from getting state-subsidized home loans.
"In spite of the fact that Latinos share the same fundamental values that brought generation of European immigrants in the same manner to Wisconsin, it is only we who are 'illegal,''' he wrote. "Everyday there are those, individuals as well as representatives of communities as a whole, including state entities who are contriving ways to further deprive us of our US Constitutional rights to life and liberty.''

Fortunately the tide is slowly turning against illegal aliens. They are feeling more heat. Hopefully they’ll realize it’s not worth staying and return home.

Yep. Saw this earlier today. Good riddance. But what is REALLY surprising is that Gubner Doyle did this! ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan’ is a TOTAL Sanctuary City.

Doyle actually signed a new budget? Holy crap I might go snowmobiling in Hell.
Maybe he’s actually the great Lawyer he’s been touted to be and is changing his tact now, prior to re-election? His re-election margin was slimmer than he wanted it to be, I’m sure, no matter how many palms he greased.
And this fiasco with the State Budget being FOUR MONTHS overdue is going to stick to him. Great LEADERSHIP there, Gubner Doyle! *SMIRK*
I also PRAISE HEAVEN ABOVE for our local Talk Radio. WIBA, AM1310. No one had EVER called ANY Liberal in this state on the carpet. They’ve done an amazing job of turning things around in this dopey county (Dane) which effects the lives of ALL Wisconsinites.
