Freemasons, from their blue lodges and both York and Scottish Rites are also pushing hard with support.

Actually it was on their web site, and was not a media outlet’s news item. It’s purpose is to let members know what LDS Charities are up to. The vast amount of Church charity is never publicized, it’s carried out with no “horn-blowing.” How much aid did your church send?

Not clear, with your accompanying photo of man blowing horn, if you mean this a sarcasm.Do you ave any evidence of them disseminating this to the MSM?

Do you see or have you heard of ANY of their larger than life contributions and quick response with massive aid and personnel to disasters around the world on MSM?

So if your comment with photo (per below) were meant as sarcasm - May I suggest you put a sock in it. If I have misread, apologies. (somehow don't think apologies necc. 'seems just more of the anti-Mormon fringe)

Which I imagine includes the Scots Knights Templar - yes - and they also do it without fanfare...

But if there's a need, look around, they'll be there

link? Surely your church is accountable to it’s members in some fashion? or would be disseminating info in order to give members an opportunity to contribute in aid, monetary or boots on the ground? If you're going to make unfounded accusations on someone else, surely you can back up your assertions re your own organization?

Otherwise, maybe you shouldn't throw stones - did your momma never teach you the Proverbs.

Message from God: Good works are as filthy rags and will not get you into Heaven. What did you do concerning my Son?

A good deed never goes unpunished - especially if it’s done by Mormons = there seems to be a group of anti-Mormon lurkers that want to make sure nothing of good repute be posted about Mormons without answering vitriol

Sad. What little lives they must lead...

“A good deed never goes unpunished - especially if it’s done by Mormons”

Yup, and even if those posters were the ones in need, the Church would still help them. I’m sure the people being helped view the assistance as better than ‘filthy rags’.

Do they really think the church should do nothing? Let the bitter, angry, petty, uncharitable and self-righteous rant. They only show how unchristian their hearts are.

Well, I just knew the vitriol would surface soon...

from those who pay no attention to the admonition - indeed the COMMANDMENT not to judge others.

Just because people like to regurgitate the mantra that Mormons don't believe in Jesus and believe in Him as the Christ - doesn't make it so.

Else why it the real name of the oft referred to Mormon Church, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" - i.e., LDS? Just to try to fool up-tight people like you?

When all is said and done, before swallowing the age old, moldy rhetoric against the LDS church, many people can now go to the horses mouth and make up their own decisions rather than swallow the pontifications from pulpits and printed anti-LDS phamplets printed by others, - people can read and listen for themselves - and they will NEVER hear the LDS church denigrate other churches or give any consideration to ones faith when they give aid.

Their one criteria if following the admonition of the Lord to help their fellow man in need.

AS Paul Harvey once said about the LDS - If every church had the welfare system that the LDS had, there would be no need for public welfare.

People who trust in their own ability to read and hear with comprehension can start by researching the LDS web site and listening to the LDS cable channel. (If one doesn't trust the Lord's promise that we have direct access to HIM and the Small Still Voice to discern the truth of things, then they may be afraid to trust His word and look to others to tell them what to believe.)
