Yes, very good news. Thanks for posting. I hope this opening weekend allows them to greatly expand the number of theatres for the November 9 second phase opening.

Bella Theatres

My wife and I saw it this weekend. I thought the characters were the best developed in any movie I can remember. You “understood” the characters backgrounds and motivations in a deeper way that most other movies. Really a great film.

"Saw IV." What the hell is wrong with people?

Hope "Bella" hits more theaters.

My wife and I saw the movie. It’s very different from most Hollywood products today. The plot is very slow because the focus is on the characters and the relationships. I could write for hours on details I enjoyed. For example, the younger brother was hilarious at dinner, and very much reminded me of one of my younger brothers [the one who is still not married].

I also thought Tammy Blanchard’s performance was outstanding.

Great movie...push theaters in your area to show it if it’s not playing.

(From an email)

BELLA” THE MOVIE – DON’T MISS IT!! - The producers of “bella” struggled for a long time to find a distributor for their beautiful film about love, life, devotion, sacrifice, family and friendship. A distributor was finally secured with the stipulation that it would release it in just 31 cities and 165 theaters. If the film has exceptional box office sales during a two-week period, they would spend the millions of dollars necessary to distribute it nationwide.

“bella” opened on Friday, October 26th and has succeeded beyond the major players’ expectations, reports LifeNews.com (10/31/07). It had the second-highest per-theater sales last weekend as it took in $1.3 million and about $8,000 per venue.
