Forecasting possible additional expansions, H.R.1874, introduced in Congress by Rep. Robert Andrews (D-N.J.), proposes to prohibit any firearmrifle, shotgun, or handgun, semi-automatic or not, including all models now in existence and any invented hereafterthat doesnt micro-stamp effectively with every type of ammunition, every time. Gun control supporters see micro-stamping as another way of incrementally achieving what Congress and state legislatures have not done in a single strokeprohibit the sale of guns.1

The excerpt from the article is extremely alarming.

“California - the experimental school for liberals.”
We’re not all like this. It would appear that the lawmakers are even crazier in Jersey!

Another problem not mentioned in the article is the ‘catcher bags’ I’ve seen on semi-autos at ranges by guys who reload and don’t want to chase their brass all over.

Sorry, Califreak. I didn’t mean to lump you all together. After all, Duncan Hunter is a Californian.
A momentary lapse.

Ping!
Our enemies wasted no time I see. A massive "empty holster" march in DC would be great way to send a message. Unfortunately it's just wishful thinking on my part.

What frightens me is the all-inclusiveness of the excerpt.
This is targeted at ALL guns, not just semi-autos.
If this passes, it lays the groundwork for all manner of hellish enforcement.

I think NJ has a similar law passed several years ago, that mandated nonexistent technology (”smart locks” and “personal identification” I think) by some date.
If microstamping becomes technically feasible, they’ll add to it until such a gun does not and cannot exist.
If firearm and ammo manufacturers were wise they’d all cut off California police sales, saying, we can’t comply, go find another source. Never mind that cops are exempt.

It may turn into a case of them coming for the guns and getting the ammo first... one round at a time!
Seriously, I feel sorry for law enforcement, I know many of them know how stupid some of the laws they are asked to enforce are.

I'm thinking lately, perhaps we need to march with full holsters instead.

What is going to stop the bad guys from re-manufacturing the parts or just filing the stamp off...I guess the moronic gun grabbers haven't figured that out yet.
