For the life of me, I can't understand why people are so hyped about whether or not Hillary took a "body blow" in the debate. She demonstrated, once again, that she is a Clinton; a woman and politician for whom the truth is defined by personal convenience and expediency. She, like her husband, thinks the meaning of words changes from moment to moment.

Democrats and Republicans have known Mr. and Mrs. Clinton to be highly skilled liars for years. Heck, during the Clinton years I remember one commentator actually expressed admiration for Mr. Clinton's ability to lie convincingly. So, when it comes to this last debate, particularly amongst her core constituency, that she fudged the truth and outright lied in the debate is not only acceptable but expected and admirable. Hurt her? Not likely. This will only put off some undecideds temporarily, nothing more.

Don’t look back Romney supporters. Huckabee could knock him off in Iowa. If so, it’s curtain time.

The Clintons both have strong personal beliefs that drive them to seek the Presidency. Bill got into politics because he thought was a good way to meet women. Hillary got in because she thinks it is a good way force her worldview on the rest of us.

Romney supported the McCain-Kennedy Scamnesty bill in the summertime. He considered it “reasonable.”

Agree - except for your term "skilled."

I always view a skill as something along the line of something that can be used to 'better ones-self' -- NOT to get over on unsuspecting listeners.

It would be more appropriate to say, "Mr. and Mrs. Clinton are known to be highly DESPICABLE liars...."

I know that being picky, but I can't stand to see sHrillary get ANY type of accolade, even if its negative.

That is untrue. It's one thing to support immigration reform in general and something very different to commit to a specific and flawed plan, like McCain's, which includes the Z-Visa.

Many conservatives could find certain portions of the flawed McCain-Kennedy shamnesty bill "reasonable," while not supporting it in full, as written. Similarly, Mitt could support certain campaign finance reforms without supporting the flawed McCain-Feingold-Thompson CFR bill as well. No conservative in his right mind would support - in full - either of those bills as written, even though they may contain certain reasonable provisions.

The HUGE difference between then and now is the Z-visa in the McCain-Kennedy bill. Those who try to use the old interviews against Mitt either do not know what they are talking about, don't understand the consequences of the addition of the Z visa -- or both.

"The Z visa is a deal breaker for many people. I'm not sure the McCain team [or the Thompson team] really gets that yet or they are being extremely disingenuous trying to equate the two knowing that the average voter [Freeper?] is too dumb to figure out the difference. There’s an old rule in Washington that in dealing with any tough issue, half the politicians hope that citizens don’t understand it, while the other half fear that people actually do.” —John Fund

----------------------

Romney is still the only top-tier candidate to flatly reject McCain's Z visa.

Governor Romney: "I strongly oppose today's bill going through the Senate. It is the wrong approach. Any legislation that allows illegal immigrants to stay in the country indefinitely, as the new 'Z-Visa' does, is a form of amnesty.

Governor Romney: "The immigration bill failed because the politicians in Washington are out of touch with the American people. The voice of the people is loud and clear - secure the border, enforce the law and no special deal for permanent residency or citizenship for illegals. America will always welcome legal immigration, but as a nation we also insist on the rule of law." (Governor Romney On Today's Senate Immigration Vote, June 28, 2007

Laura Ingraham with "Bella" actor Eduardo Velestegui.
Not Romney related, but Laura looks nice and Eduardo almost looks like a Romney brother. Well, not really, but he is dark and handsome.

I just love her pearl earrings, and he is exceptional looking! When I first saw the pic, I thought he was a Romney. Bella is supposed to be an excellent film! : ) Can't wait to see it.

Thanks for the pic, RG. : )
