Reports from U Delaware students, blogged at CHE yesterday One RA was threatened..sounds like the commies at UD are panicking.

1) I am so happy that FIRE blew open this case. I work in the student affairs office and the place went crazy when the letter from FIRE arrived. THe truth is that they created a well intended program, but crossed the line in many ways. Yes until this week the program was mandatory and they have temporarily suspended the mandatory nature of it, but once the attention goes away especially with Parents Weekend arriving they want to look good. Boy can they lie.

2) I have been an RA for the past two years and have not been comfortable with this program. It has gotten out of hand and demanding of students. Yesterday I was approached to be an advocate of the program. Several of my RA friends have been asked to be available for talking with the press. When I declined I was taken aside and told that my future as an RA was in jeopardy as was future a student. I decided to stand-up for myself. I read the university response to FIRE and they seem to want to divert the attention away from the programs flaws and talk about how FIRE make U Del. students look. Well it was U Del. students that had the backbone and insight to bring this issue up to FIRE. Go Hens! FIRE believes in us.

That is a bastard thing for them to do. These kids are RA's because they get free housing. Kids lose a parent in college, things get tight financially, they apply to be an RA. Crapheads threaten to take their housing away from them if they don't lie to protect the indoctrination program.

My niece went to school at UDel 2005-6. My brother & sis-in-law are progressive-liberals. But you guessed that I'm sure. He still owes most of his share of the costs ($23,000) since she only got a partial music scholarship & a small on-campus job. And for all that money, she didn't take any core classes, her grades were too low to qualify for any money for the next school year, but her liberal head was filled with more liberal talking points. She also learned to use the "f" word in front of, at and towards her father (my brother).

I called her on it when she did so in front of me. She told me that she's a liberal and that's just the way they talk.

Thankfully, my two adult children are conservatives. And my mother taught me, as I taught my children, that only people with limited vocabulary, education and intelligence use "4-letter" words. I don't know where my brother was when our mother was elucidating this statement.

Below is a post from a UD RA that appears on The Chronicle of Higher Education blog. This person appears to have been intimated and threatened by administration staff. This is criminal behavior.

If you don’t like the press UD is getting now, wait till this hits the news.

This is nothing new. When I went to the University of Maryland, the feminist studies department took all the male names out of the phone book and made a display declaring that we were all “potential rapists.” University never did a damn thing about it.

The inverse could have been done to the women with the label potential prostitutes.

Marc Lamont Hill of Temple University was just on FoxNews. He said he saw nothing wrong with UD`s program and thinks it`s fine for colleges to teach that all whites are racist and to teach that it`s impossible for non-whites to be racist.

If I’m ever forced to attend a program of this nature I will arrive prepared.

I would wax poetically of my ancestors and our wonderfully unique culture and customs.

I would describe the joy that is “Haggis.” I would give a detailed description of it’s preparation. Then I would bring one out to share.
