WOW. My sister, her kids and grandkids live in Decatur. Last time I was there I noticed a large Hispanic (can’t prove they were illegal, but would be willing to bet so) population.
While I am scared of terrorist attacks from Arabs, I also believe we are facing major danger with the influx of illegals from third world countries.

I happened to go to a trendy chain Chinese restaurant in Overland Park, KS the other night (Pei Wei), and not a single employee was Asian. On the other hand, in the open kitchen, not a single word of English was spoken. Only Spanish...
I think that the estimate of “20 million” illegal aliens in the US is WAY too low...

Well, in the absnece of a declaration to the contrary, I conjecture two things:
- They ARE illegales;
- The Decatur Daily doesn't think it's nice of me to ask that question.

I’d guess we are up to 35 million by now.

Or maybe they thought the answer should be so obvious to everyone who can read that no further explanation is necessary.

I am very happy that I don’t have any family members in public schools these days.

Wayne Farms is foreign owned by a company in Belgium. How many illegal food handlers working in restaurants have T.B.? Did they pass it on to the cute blond serving you and has her kids passed it on to your child? Good question. The Greenville SC chicken plant had a 167 positive tests about two months ago.
And there was the case in Gainesville GA, where the kid and his mother were told to self deport, guess they are back in Mexico and on disability by now. "sac Off"

In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s dozens of my ancestors died from TB. Then we wiped it out. Now, we open up the door to kill dozens of my descendent's.....this is progress????

This is the most misleading headline I have ever seen. While 212 tested positive, that only means that sometime in their life they were exposed to the TB virus. It does not mean that they had the disease or that they will develop the disease, only that they had been exposed.Read the 4th paragraph. The word latent means dormant. In other words the TB bacteria is just sitting in the exposed body waiting to activate. What triggers that activation is something that we don't know. Just hope you and family are not standing in line at Walmart when the TB bacterium of the exposed decides to activate.

While 212 tested positive, that only means that sometime in their life they were exposed to the TB virus.About 10% of TB carriers develop active TB, so really the final TB count should be "21".

Ping!
I know this is becoming old news to the folks on the ping list, but sooner or later someone is going to wake up and realize that it’s time to close the barn door.
Aren’t they?

Good thing it’s not American because I have a feeling they are soon going to be out of business.

Same here....on my grandfather's side of the family...several including my great aunt who spent some long months, maybe close to a year in a sanitorium...(overcame it and is still living!)
Our country worked so hard to eradicate this...
..and now our citizens are exposed daily.

I like the way they put DC in the Atlantic Ocean in that map. I wonder how that could be arranged.

"The majority of the folks that we're dealing with in this situation are foreign born," Jones said. "I would expect about 30 percent of them to test positive."I was waiting for this to involve illegals and am greatly surprised the reported went this far without stating flatly what group was bringing in deadly diseases.
